They don't have a lot of options for hardware and granite at the design center. They have a lot of cheap stuff and not a lot of nicer options. For example, I wanted sink faucets that were three hole, brushed nickel with a good amount of spout reach but they didn't have any with good reach. Thry also didn't have any nice large shower heads in brushed nickel. A few things weren't brought up for us in terms of options such as shower/bath shelving. So we negotiated when they built it. The granite that we chose at the design center is a sample that has a cream base with some grain (level 7 I believe). When it was time to pick it out, they said that it has changed since they first started using it and they only had a darker gray base version of it. They didn't have anything else in a cream. And of course, they haven't updated the sample at the design center. The granite that we did receive had major cracks in it and the granite company they worked with who provided it, told me to not step on it because of the cracks. We had a great experience at the design center. Initially we had two appointments with Rachel and each one was awesome. She has extensive knowledge on all the products and really knows how to tailor what you're looking for and narrow things in a direction that best fits your style. Since it's obviously very overwhelming to have so many selections, it makes it a lot easier to navigate those waters when your design consultant has that ability to pin down your aesthetic right away. She also recommended some adjustments to things here and there that we would have never thought of. Subsequent to our appointments she's been extremely helpful with any questions and concerns we've had.
