Wedding Day Recap: I had such a hard time finding a team of HMUAs that were willing to travel AND has had experience working with East Asian features and THANK GOD four months before my wedding I found this amazing team! All of my bridesmaids and family are asian and Debbie, Lori, and Suki UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT!!!! The wake up call was very early because I had 11 people, plus myself getting hair make up done. But Debbie and her team came right on time and actually finished with plenty of time to spare!!! I also had Debbie and Suki come back for a second hair and make up look at the venue and they also DID yet again, a phenomenal job with my hair and make up even though the Austin humidity kicked in. But my make up and hair stayed through the entire night even to the after party! They listen to what you want and execute!!!

Debbie - thank you so much for everything that day! For SLAYING my girls', mine, and my family members' make up! Everyone was in love with their make up! My best friend who is getting married in DC in June said that she is going to show what you did for her to her make up artist to try and replicate. Thank you for your patience and care and Type-A-ness (like me).

Suki & Lori - thank you for both of your hard work in creating hair master pieces for everyone! Suki - I loved my hair so much!!! Thank you for your attention to detail and making sure I looked THE PRETTIEST despite the rain and humidity and sun.

The day of experience with Pink Palette was great! Our artists arrived on time and finished my hair/makeup plus 4 others on time. The hair didn't really last past a few hours (but it was humid) and the makeup was super glowy which I loved!

The parts of my experience that wasn't so great was the pre wedding communication and trial. Prior to booking, they're super responsive, but after booking, on multiple occasions, I reached out with questions about extensions, trims etc. and they were either never answered, or answered a few weeks later with the same reason: that the email bounced or they thought they hit send but didn't. The responses that I received only part of my questions and so I had to re-ask and wait again for a response.

In addition, they switched my makeup artist for my trial about 1-2 weeks before. I had specifically someone who was familiar with Asian makeup as I also scheduled my engagement shoot for the trial day. They said reschedule or they would assign me someone else who also wouldn't be there on my wedding day, which kind of defeats the purpose of the trial I already paid for. With such short notice, I couldn't reschedule with my photographer as we had already also taken off work and my photog was booked up at that point.

I thought it was pretty unprofessional and the makeup clearly showed that the artist wasn't familiar with Asian features. Overall, for their price I'm not too keen to recommend due to the...

I hired Pink Palette for my October 2020 weddings and they did a superb job! I did a trial with them and didn't love the outcome, which was super helpful because when it came time for the big day, they made the adjustments we discussed and I loved the outcome! I was very impressed with how they adjusted from the trial to the actual day of - Laura and Linda really listened to me and expertly applied the changes/improvised based on my feedback to create beautiful looks! I had two small ceremonies with different looks, and both came out gorgeous; I was so happy with how I looked and got so many compliments! I was going for a more natural look, and they achieved it! Debbie runs the scheduling and is very responsive and organized. I especially loved all the covid precautions they took and felt very safe. My hairstylists were Lori and Laura, and Linda did my makeup both times. They showed up early for both events, organized and ready to work, and finished in the time estimated. And on top of all that, they were super fun to work with - a great way to start both of my big days; it felt like hanging out with good friends (which I couldn't do because of covid, so this was very nice!!).
