This is new, it used to be a golf course but the city has been converting it to a beautiful nature space open to the public. There are wide paved trails that loop around (the current path is about 3 miles) with lots of benches for resting, or just enjoying the view. Every time I go I see people outside walking, running, riding bikes, skateboarding, even roller blading. It's a beautiful space that makes the outdoors more accessible. It is dog friendly, but there are venomous snakes native to the area so it's best to stay on the path where the snakes avoid. (Remember, snakes are just as scared of you, best to give everyone lots of space...

Great trails for running, walking, spending time with the family, or just relaxing by yourself. They could add a few more trash cans to help ensure lazy people don't leave their trash on the ground (but then again nasty lazy people will always have an excuse).

Will be much better when when the project is actually complete and when the grass has a chance to fully grow in the completed areas. Overall it is a great project and I look forward to the remaining sections being completed in a...

Great view at sunset and great place for bird watching. Signs say watch out for venomous snakes, I can verify I did see a cottonmouth on the shore and swim off in the water just the other day. A month ago after it flooded from a storm I did see a small alligator in the water near where the ducks congragate. Lots of wild life to be respectful of from a distance. It will only get better as they finish the...

My only complaint is that the parking lot by the rec center is awful! Other than that, this place is the best thing to happen in Clear Lake in a very long time. The bike/walking paths are wide and smooth, there are plenty of opportunities to commune with nature while walking or you can sit and take it all in. It's a work in progress but it's definitely moving in the right direction!
