If you think that a no English speaking environment is awful, then you are the one with the problem. It is rather irrelevant to give a bad review over a language barrier. You are just being a jackass. It is, after all, a Mexican meat market. Odds are, the place will be full of Hispanics who are lucky to speak both languages. Now, for my review, as to why I give this place a three star, It was the worst $67 worth of food from the taqueria. We ordered two pounds of barbacoa, large menudo, large rice and a large beans. As a Hispanic that knows how good Mexican food should taste like, the barbacoa did not have that authentic taste to it. And it was overcooked. The menudo was not as bad, but they added so much of that hominy stuff that they put in it and little meat. The consistency of the rice was so chewy and no taste to it. As if it was plastic. And the beans tasted as if they were from days before. I usually like the Michuacana meat markets since I was young, but the taqueria here in Bay Area was...

The few times I have ordered, the ladies have put three strips of meat on a the tacos. They only fill up the little containers of salsa halfway and most of the times, they only give you one for three tacos. You have to ask for them to give you more.
We are excited that a good carniceria finally open on this side of town. It is nice to stop by and get ingredients especially the meat to cook for dinner! I've read the recent bad reviews and it's all relating to ordering the prepared food. You can tell that the employees are new and are still trying to figure things out; however, I've been several times since they first opened and I can see that the service is improving. Also, people leaving these reviews are not familiar with ordering at "La Michoacana". This is a mexican meat market; they're most likely not going to have...
Read moreVery frustrating as absolutely no one here speaks English. I didn't realize there was enough of a Spanish-speaking only population in this area for something to stay in business that had no employees who spoke English. Finally with the help of someone else who was a customer and my decades-old high school Spanish I was able to get someone to understand and get a plate. However for the price that I paid I got very little food which is really unusual for a Hispanic restaurant and particularly for chicken which is about the cheapest kind of meat you...
