The individuals who planned the layout ruined it by taking down all the beautiful mature and shady trees that were on the original golf course. These amateur city planners, probably straight out of some technical school could have easily preserved the trees and built the watershed anyway without ruining the beauty of the landscape. Now they have planted some horrible trees that will take many many years to grow up and will never replace the wonderful trees that existed there. Also in the process, they killed and dispersed all the wild life that existed there. They still have no regard for any animals that managed to make it through and keep ruining there habitat, like the rabbits, skunks, opossums, musk rates and other critters. My car was locked. They busted my window and stole my purse which wasn't even in plain sight. They really need to consider putting security cameras in the lot. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a lovely place to take a stroll! I have walked the entire park and itās just so pretty and clean! Lots of flowers, plants and wildlife, including birds, ducks, nutria and even alligators (although the one I saw was very small).
The park is great for running, walking and biking, and thereās ample parking off of Diana, Bay Area Blvd and a small lot on El Dorado. There are also ports Johns but Iāve never used them.
