EZPAWN (6761 Hillcroft Street, Houston) — Attraction in Houston

Really pleasant, helpful staff - the area has a very well-trafficked bus stop, so the parking lot seems to be more or less constantly full of indigent/vagrant types (I was asked coming out of the shop if I knew where to find meth by one of the lot-dwellers - I did not, but the guy was cool about it) which could be a turn off. The few times I’ve been here, I’ve been surprised to be offered 10-15% more than I was expecting (I’m no stranger to pawn shops). They also had a very cool mariachi bass guitar, and were all too happy to let me pull it down and attempt to play it (played acoustic bass for years - NOT the same; respect to mariachis). LOTS of video games, electronics and peripherals, and the prices were competitive with (or better than) other, similar shops in the area. I don’t recommend pawn shop visits, but if you have to, this one is pretty solid and open until 9pm. Solid...

I don't know what her name was but the individual that I dealt with was snarky, rude, and the epitome of unprofessional. Left me standing there waiting for her while she finished trivial conversation with one of her coworkers that lasted upwards of 5 minutes. Upon taking possession of my items that I got a loan on, she treated them with such carelessness and disregard that both items were heavily damaged, an unfortunate fact I was made aware of per my own inspection when I retrieved my items less than a month later. It's a very good place they treat you with respect especially the manager Jaime Negrete he's a good manager he always be greeting people with smiles he handles situations very well with customers even though sometimes they get an attitude or rude with him but he always handled that with a smile on his face he's always looking out for the customers he's real polite there's a lot of times when I go there and I'll be going through stuff and he always ask is everything okay how's my day you know he's real concerned about customers and I love the way he handle people and customers and the other employees...
