Birria de Chivo Trudis — Restaurant in Houston

Delicious quesabirria! $12 for 3 tacos and a cup of consome. Very aromatic spices. Wonderful broth that's great to dip tacos or enjoy by itself. Satisfying and filling. Beef was perfectly cooked, being flavorful and tender without falling apart or being stringy/getting caught in teeth. Food was incredible when hot and still very very good after I let it cool a bit in car.

Location can be confusing as storefront is not visible from road, but there's a big sign over plaza where they're located to show you where to walk. Lady who cooks seems to speak only Spanish, but the man speaks English if you need to specify anything.

Only problem is the grease can spread around, so make sure to leave them in the bag or put something under them if you eat them...

Great tasting tacos but I think I was charged more than normal. People are saying they paid $10 for 3 tacos with a cup of consomé. I paid 37.89 for 7 tacos and two drinks with no consomé. I was told each taco is 3.50. 7X3.50 is 24.50. I doubt two drinks costs $13.39. I feel robbed after reading these reviews. Also they should have a menu of the different forms of Birria they offer. They say they do not have a menu and they do not show you how much each items costs. This business needs to be more...

Lamento de verdad dejar un review de 2 estrellas, pero el concepto completo no alcanza para tres. De hecho estaba pensando en dejar una sola estrella, pero en un esfuerzo de honestidad pongo dos. Porque?… la humildad no está peleada con la LIMPIEZA y en este último concepto de higiene, definitivamente tienen mucho de donde mejorar. Dos… La ATENCIÓN la califico como su talón de Aquiles. La Sra que nos atendió parecía molesta, en lugar de estar tomando la orden, sentía que me estaba regañando… Dios mío! Que carácter!… Las formas de pago: Afortunadamente traíamos algo de efectivo, pero me parece absurdo no aceptar como forma de pago una tarjeta de crédito o débito. El desequilibrio entre la calidad y el precio es otra falla de Birria de Chivo Trudis. Y por último el sabor, que es lo que te mueve a regresar o no hacerlo, es lo que nos deja debiendo. La comida no es mala, solamente que para nada se acerca a lo delicioso. Es buena a secas. Yo creo que si se esmeran un poco más en el sabor, pasando de un poco desabrido a algo memorable, y trabajan para cambiar drásticamente la atención a los clientes, entonces pueden ser un lugar para recomendar.
