Harwin Park — Attraction in Houston

The playground is new (I think they finished it around 2022) and it's really nice. There is a big open field and a path that goes around the perimeter that is great for walking, jogging, or biking. The path is a little over a third of a mile, I believe. There's a pavillon where you can grill and have a fun family picnic. I've seen private soccer games and softball games going on so it's a busy park with a lot of space to do so much!

It's pet friendly as well!

A lot of pictures on here are including the Westchase Library Loop which is separate, but connected. At the far east side of the park, there is a path that will take you to the Westchase Library Trail and if you follow that, it will lead you all the way to the Library on Richmond and Wilcrest. It is a beautiful park but with its beauty comes bitterness . The playground is my main concern , my daughter and I were swinging and enjoying the day when she accidentally slipped out the swing and hit her face/mouth on this iron like structure beneath the rocks . I don’t comprehend why have such thing covered up by little rocks in a thin level way . My daughters mouth is swollen to the extent she really can’t eat . Not too crowded most of the time. Usually teams play soccer here. Good sidewalk for running. A full lap is only .40 miles though. Always found a parking space, never had to park across the street at the church. Although there is a lot of traffic on the opposite side of the street most weekdays after work.
