This place is "HIGHLY" over rated, it was very packed and with the bright lights and all of the flash going on outside, you have to be a little bit curious to check out their operation. WOW, talk about a major front, when we walked in, place felt like we were having turkey at a halfway house with tv's on the walls. I couldn't tell if the hosts were employees or volunteers, service was very laxidasical. So to top off our displeasure of this experience, here comes the food, (FYI- outside of the crawfish-DON'T order anything else on that menu- I'm not even sure what they're really supposed to be specializing in? ), that is their felled attempt to make you believe that they have other options other than just crawfish. We ordered stuffed shrimp that tasted like they got it out of the frozen section at food town "no offense to Food Town", but if something like that is on your menu, you might want to actually make it at your own restaurant; shrimp fried rice, tasted like shrimp dried rice, emphasis on Dried or dehydrated whichever. So in conclusion the only thing that we consumed was the crawfish, the soda that came in the can, because there's no refills and the French fries that came with the stuffed shrimp that we sent back and got removed from the bill. I feel cheated and bamboozled that I even wasted my Friday night here, when I clearly could've went anywhere else in Houston. I recommend that the restaurant seriously think of getting the chef some good help or training and or tweaking to the recipe so that the majority of the items on the menu are made at the restaurant and not delivered from a third party sources frozen area, and to the public at large, I recommend that you enjoy the light show outside and keep driving, because the lights are so enticing but the food, well if you think I'm over exaggerating, you can go ahead and try your luck, I'm sure they'll be a seat available from the last group that just walked out with the look on their faces like they had just put diesel in their car instead of regular gas. So don't say that you were not warned before hand. Remember quality is greater...
Read moreUpon thinking where I was going to order Crawfish from, I decided to order from here on Saturday night. I called to ask the price and the sizes of the Crawfish. I was told $9.99 and medium sizes. I ordered 3lbs Wild Cajun Medium and a Sausage. I went to pick them up and was shocked to see only one person dining in at the bar. I was like, where is everyone... The guy came from the back and charged me for my order. I asked him where were all the customers, because it is usually packed, but he didn't have an answer for me oook... I got home and opened up my order, which was in a tin foil pan. There were lots of onions and green onions on the top. I discarded all of that so that I could get straight to business. Most of the Crawfish were small, alot of the shells were soft due to them being overcooked. A few were mushy, yukkk...There were only a few medium ones that I could count. The flavor was just ok. They could have used more seasoning. I ate the one that I could and discarded the rest. The highlight was the new sausage that they use. It was this jalapeno sausage. You get 2 4inch pieces for $5. I'm not saying that I won't go back. It will be a...
Read moreThis used to be one of our go-to’s for Viet Cajun crawfish. Service was very slow (took 20 min to get food) even when we were only at one of 3 tables. Place was dead. Not sure what happened but it seems they are serving non-live crawfish? We ordered 6 lb between me and my son. We had a massive bag full of soft (no crack or snap to the shells or tails), likely dead crawfish. The taste was not clean like you get with live crawfish. We couldn’t eat it so let the waiter know this batch was bad (either dead or massively overcooked). He said sorry and said the kitchen would prepare another order for us. Waited another 15 min for batch #2. On the top were a few large crawfish (you could tell they were live before cooking because of the shell sound and texture of the meat) which were good so we thought….great, they got it right. However, 15 crawfish into it, it was clear the remainder of the 5.5 lb were all previously dead so we couldn’t eat it. Bad aftertaste, soft shells, and mealy, fall apart crawfish tails. Waiter was apologetic and offered a 10 % discount but sadly, we won’t be coming back. Hopefully we don’t get sick...
