I started visiting It’s A Secret Med Spa about a month and a half ago. The very first day I was there it was a little chaotic because of the promotion they had going on, the nurse injector who helped me out was late, and she stabbed me on the forearm before injecting my glute. The following was my feedback to them and their reply:
"To begin with the Nurse injector was 20 min late, very sweet lady but she should be more considerate of patients’ time, I was late to work because she was late to my appointment. Second of all, when about to give me the B12 injection, she stabbed my arm first instead of my hip, the right arm, I was holding my pants down. She made it seem like it was nothing and I saw my arm and had a red dot of blood where she punctured the skin and I showed her, I think a mistake like that can have bad consequences, I can get a bacteria since the arm wasn’t properly clean with alcohol or some kind of cross contamination, I don’t know but I felt uneasy with the visit. Besides, I wasn’t aware I could have had a lipo b12 shot, so I requested b12 and no one told me I could have both as part of my new membership. Also, I’m still waiting on my receipt of the amount I spent I checkout, I was told I was going to get it sent to my email and I didn’t received it so I called two days after to request it and I just got the summary of what I got done but not the actual receipt of what I spent when I signed up, I sent an email as well requesting the bill and I’m still waiting. Regarding this situation, please contact me through email only. Thank you."
"Your concerns are noted. Thank you for sharing your experience with us."
Their response was very unsettling because I do consider the incident could have life threaten consequences and not even an apology for what I experienced nor a follow up after “your concerns are noted.” I have tried to let it go, and I’m just trying to bring awareness now. I think the whole concept of the membership is a good one but I feel like most of the time there isn’t someone knowledgeable to give you information and sign you up for other things. I want it to get my lips done and because I never got a fix quote, I went back to the lady I usually go to but I could’ve done it there and get my discount for having a membership.
In addition, the “unlimited botox” is as many as they want, I went it to my follow up and one of my eyebrows was slightly higher than the other so I wanted to get that fixed. Also, I wanted to try botox on the nostrils just to give it a try to see if I liked it or not. To my surprise, the nurse injector Lynn, didn’t want to do it, she said she didn’t recommend neither one, the nostrils nor to fix the eyebrow. I feel like it should be up to the customer what they wish to explore or not but it also might be a technique they have to limit the “unlimited botox.”
Besides all that, kudos to Chelsea, she is amazing at doing the laser hair removal, she communicates what she’s doing and is very nice and helpful. Also, Hope at the front desk is sweet and helpful...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. As someone who has visited half of the Medspas in Houston over the past two decades, I have never experienced such horrible service until today not even from groupons. Since Black Friday, I went into a consultation with one of their reputable injectors. She was very nice but suggested waiting until Christmas time for more specials. Being on a tight budget but considering this my annual beauty necessity, I decided to wait for the holiday specials, as it could break my bank – a decision most people on a budget would make.
So, I waited an entire month, and they finally offered discounts I recieved via email and text message . As a new client, three separate people from this location told me on three separate occasions that they would honor the new client discount with any special promo . I planned on getting my annual fillers, including lip fillers. On the day of my appointment, the injector called in sick, so I had to reschedule. No big deal; I rescheduled for the same week.
Luckily, thank God, I asked for the third time if they would honor the new client promo with the current promo that was texted to me the same week, since $100 here and there is a lot for me during the holidays. At first, the lady on the phone said yes, then she called me back and stated, "My manager said no; we cannot honor the new client 20% discount plus any current promo." I am beyond shocked and surprised at such a horrible lack of customer and management communication. Not only did they make me waste a whole month for their services, but this location also cost me my entire holiday season, as Christmas is in less than four days now. I had calculated to do services this week ..This place doesn’t deserve even one star. Even after stating to the receptionist about the above there was zero apologies or correction on this matter . I am a Houstonian and surprised that this place is still in business.
PS As a former business owner I never write bad reviews for anyone in Houston .. Please fix your poor management and customer service or don't...
Read moreIt is 2025… why are we still going to med spas to get services when actual doctors can provide a better and more professional experience. I’ve had many visits at this location over the past 2.5 years, and the quality of their injectors keeps going down. I used to get injected by Hannah, but she has since left. I was highly dissatisfied with my last experience because I was not told what product was being injected. I can’t remember the girl (mainly because her work and experience were lack luster) but I remember she was young and from Dallas. This experience was back in March. As a medical professional, it is imperative you verbally say what exact product is being used prior to injection/billing. I thought I was getting Botox and received dysport. Now, could I have asked prior? Absolutely, but the onus falls on the practitioner to do their job correctly and to be a responsible injector and communicate necessary information to the patient. The injector also told me I had a gummy smile, despite me not being concerned or mentioning it. Worst part is, I don’t have a gummy smile because I’ve had lip filler for years that has given me a “natural” lip flip. Not only was that suggestion rude and unethical, it was blatantly false and just a way to increase her commission. I will not be returning, which is shame because I was a frequent customer. They just want your money here. They aren’t professional. On top of all that, the product did not last more than two months. When I saw hannah, her work lasted 4-5 months. You will see “dilution” of product be mentioned several times in these reviews, and I suspect they are diluting the product. They are just scamming people out of money and provide mediocre work. As mentioned above, please go to real doctors. Med spas are a thing...
