What can I say about this "lawn care company"? There is only one word to describe it, and it is INCOMPETENT! I can't really believe the fact that they are even able to operate as a business. Where do I begin... This company is completely untrustworthy as they can't keep a schedule, they have dishonest belligerent "professionals" and there is a complete lack of communication. They rescheduled my first service 3 times before the "lawn professional" came to simply cut the grass (albeit overgrown). He arrived and preceeded to tell me he couldn't get his huge commercial riding mower into my back yard (average gate & back yard) he then more than quadrupled the initial price quote as my lawn was quite overgrown. He told me he'd be right back... A WEEK LATER! He comes back and really did an awful, terrible job. My chihuahua could've done a better. He ran over and destroyed 2 hoses, he left at least a foot of uncut grass around the outer perimeter of my property. He left all of the grass trimmings where they landed on the yard and had I not gone out and raked it all together (giving myself a bad blister on my hand) it would still be there killing my grass. The guy was loud and obnoxious to boot every time his equipment wouldn't perform he would yell obscenities which no doubt could be heard throughout my quiet familial neighborhood. I had to go to work before he finished so I paid him the 149.00 which he accepted only to find that he attempted to charge my account again for the same service. They aren't supposed to accept cash as it is a debit/credit only service. I didn't realize this and I paid him the quoted amount. But he accepted then "pocketed" the money, kept it from Lawn Love and they subsequently attempted to charge my account again for that same dodgey, shoddy service. I reported all of this to Lawn Love and their customer service reps told me they are sending out another guy to finish the job bc it's still not edged up. I get a delayed message telling me that the new fellow reported that the "lawn had already been cut" hence the breakdown of communication. Long story short don't waste your time on this company they don't deserve the 1 star...
Read moreDo not mistake this review of lawn love lawn care with Robert Martinez who actually performed the service at my home. Robert Martinez was and is an excellent service provider —he was enthusiastic, well spoken, eager to help me with a solution, fast, courteous, can’t say enough good things about his performance.
Lawn love lawn care is lucky to have him as an outside services provider.
As far as lawn love lawn care goes, they are on probation with me. I have had terrible experiences with their app, the people behind the app are slow to return my requests for help, I never could resolve the fact that I needed to reset my password and as a result I missed numerous communications with my lawn care team —just as I was ready to abandon this “aggregator“ and I use that term because they are nothing more or less than another Angi, home advisor, yelp, Houzz, and numerous other companies that organize and run a stable of independent service providers.
I have no doubt that they charge the service providers for getting them work as well as charging the homeowners for using their service. They operate like a “booking agent“ They don’t actually perform the work and because they don’t they’re basically useless in the process but nowadays it’s so difficult to make direct contact with independent lawn care providers that these types of aggregators are a necessary evil. Now, if you can afford to contact a professional landscaping company, great but those companies charge far too much for the kind of services that a small homeowner can afford to pay.
I also get this feeling that they are the kind of company that profits on nickel and diming their customers for example “oh, do you actually want us to pick up your yard clippings well, that’s another fee“ As I said at the outset, I was very lucky to meet Robert Martinez through this app perhaps I got extremely lucky in meeting a quality service provider and the least I can do is acknowledge lawn care love, a thank you for the introduction but in my opinion they add very little value to the actual task of getting your lawn...
Read moreTerrible service. I had a service scheduled for July 6, no one showed up. I then received an email saying service had been rescheduled for July 7. Not a big deal, no problem. But on July 7, no one showed up again. No one contacted me to reschedule - no text, no email, no phone call.
On July 10, since Lawn Love was a no show and didn't bother to email or call me, I had someone else mow my lawn. Then, on July 13, I received an email saying I had been charged a $25 cancellation fee. For what?! Lawn Love never showed up! I called their hotline and they said a tech drove by on July 13 and saw the lawn was recently been mowed, so he decided I didn't need my lawn mowed and cancelled the service. That is outrageous. First, there was never any service for July 13 scheduled that anyone told me about. Second, even if a service was scheduled, I never cancelled it! Had this tech actually knocked on my door to talk to me, I would've asked he go ahead and perform the service instead of being assessed a fee. How can you charge a customer a cancellation fee for a service you never scheduled, and how can you charge a customer a cancellation fee when THEY NEVER ASKED TO CANCEL? Apparently Lawn Love's techs are authorized to cancel for customers without speaking to customers if they don't feel like performing a service. And then the customers get charged.
Do not use them. They are crooks. Use them only if you like having no one show up to mow your lawn and then being charged...
