I love going to this Milano Nail Spa in Brook Hollow—so much so that I'm writing this review without being asked or incentivized. The salon is pristinely clean, and the staff is warm and welcoming. If you are lucky enough to meet Kant, I suggest you book all of your future appointments with him. He is a very kind person and a great nail tech. I love my nails! They give you a true manicure with shaping, cuticle cutting, etc. The staff cares about your experience there, always offering you something to drink, with a wide variety of choices. Despite being busy at times, they are very attentive to customers walking in and seat them as soon as possible. The front desk staff is also very helpful and kind when checking in and paying. To show you how awesome they are, I'll tell you about my latest experience there. When I was getting my nails done today, they unfortunately had a very rude customer. I won't be surprised if she leaves a review here soon, but know, the staff did nothing wrong. They did everything in their power to keep her happy, and she unfortunately continued to be disruptive to other guests and berated the staff. Despite this, the staff maintained professionalism and kindness. That speaks to who they are as people and as a salon. A little kindness goes a long way, and the staff here truly treats you like a royal when you visit, even if you are more of...

I had to go into work today as I’m usually off and always go to the Heights location . Stayed longer than expected and didn’t care to sit in the traffic going to the heights area and being that it’s the Milano name, I was expecting the same service l. I will say that the pedicure was amazing ! But my nails are a disaster . So bad that I’m going to another location to get this set removed because they’re terrible after paying over 200$. I am very complex with designs I want, which reference was shown . And I have no problem paying for what I want, I know what I’m asking for . Asked for coffin shape and my pinky is the only nail that’s coffin shaped , I hate thick nails and they are THICK, aside the shape being wrong they are not straight so not filed correctly , placed soooo much glue that it looks so gunky under my nail no matter how much I scrub and it looks awful , when using the machine to remove the previous set, he went too into my cuticle that it started bleeding and then after hit the same spot and made it worse ! I’ve had to put an ointment to calm the burning and hope it heals quickly . Honestly I’m beyond disappointed with how this turn out and won’t ever come to this location again no matter the convenience of it . So upset typing this and seeing my nails as I’m typing this and how terribly they’ve been done , just makes me want to cry ....

The first time I was here 4 months ago the experience was very pleasant. This time I’m not so sure.

I had provided a photo reference of what I wanted and trusted the nail technician (Amy) to do her work. Whenever she had showed me the color chrome she was going to use, I thought it was going to be incorporated instead of the color that was in the photo. Turns out it was a completely different than in the reference. Initially the nail technician told me it was because of the lighting in the photo that the nails turned out differently, but in the photo they’re much more lighter. I would’ve had them changed since it wasn’t what I wanted for my birthday weekend, but I had to catch a flight and didn’t have any more time. Gratefully I was not charged for the chrome, only the set but the whole miscommunication banter between the tech and front desk ruined even the expensive pedicure w/ massage (Volcano - $90) I was trying to enjoy after a stressful week.

If you’re considering this salon as a first timer, please be very clear with what you want, otherwise it would be lost in translation. Unfortunately would not be coming...

** edit** I did return after my visit to inquire about the $5 charge. They did end up giving me a $5 refund so that was nice. The next day after my initial review the manager texted me asking to take down my review. He said the receptionist made a mistake by pressing “dip with tip”, although I’m not convinced that’s 100% true. Then they said they charged me $5 extra for “shape”. This also doesn’t make sense because I had almond shape already and they just filed my nails as per regular dip protocol. Anyways, I edited my review to reflect that they did work with me and give me a credit but I’m not too convinced that this isn’t regular practice for them. It was alright but they charged me $5 more for regular dip. I had no manicure or add ons. Just regular color and the price is posted as $50+. It was my own nails and the shape was not new, just file and dip. They did not give me an itemized copy of my receipt either. I guess they can just charge you at random additional. If it’s $55, they should just say that and not charge me a random $5. Probably won’t go back. It’s alright but overpriced if you ask me.
