Baobae — Restaurant in Houston

Ordered ahead of time online (directly from business website) and was told order would be ready by a specific time. Went to check in to pick up order and was rudely told I could go sit in my car or come back because it would be another 15 minutes. People that came in and ordered in the restaurant left with their food before I did. Excuse was that restaurant was slammed with orders. Was still waiting well beyond “15 more minutes”and there’s nobody else here. I would suggest to never order from this place under any circumstances whatsoever. Or, if you do, opt to order from Uber Eats or DoorDash or even in person, since they prioritize those orders over their own website...

Everything was excellent. We picked up an order to go around 2 on a Sunday. There were no other guests there, at the time. This did not impact our food, or speed of service.

The Curry chicken and General TSO's chicken were both delicious. The General was hot and cooked fresh. Good texture on veggies and chicken. The Curry was exceptional. We ordered everything medium hot, but will step it up a notch next time.

The only problem with the egg rolls was that we didn't order enough. Fantastic flavor, perfectly crisp. Sweet & Sour and Asian mustard were both great. We could have eaten 3 or 4 more!!

Can't wait to go back. There are many things on the menu that...

I’ve been to the Mangum location several times for the pork with garlic sauce, some of the best I’ve had in a long time. I returned last week ordered the same and was served something with a thicker brown sauce, red and green bell peppers, baby corn a few water chestnuts and no spice despite the cashier asking me what spice level I wanted. I returned to the counter and said it wasn’t pork with garlic sauce the only thing the cook replied was its pork, it’s pork. When the manager was notified her reply was that’s the cook they have there now…?? So I guess each dish is open to the cooks desire of the moment. Not sure I’ll...
