Worst experience at a hotel. We paid almost $200 for 2 nights, not a bad rate, very budget friendly. We went into town for Thanksgiving to visit family. The first attendant we met was awesome and very helpful. Breakfast was ok/mediocre. They had a weird breakfast. For example, the sign said scrambled eggs, but when I opened it, it looked like a quiche. Then i took a bite, and it was nasty like a soggy muffin. The second day, our towels were removed while we were gone, but nothing else was cleaned. When we got back that night and saw this, I called the front desk, who informed me there were no towels. Our kids had already started showering. The curtain didn't hold any water in either, and so there was water everywhere. All of our dirty clothes and some clean clothes got soaked. I am glad no one slipped in the bathroom. It was literally the entire floor of the bathroom flooded. The next day, we went out to see family for breakfast. When we got back, there were still no towels! Heres what happened: We had promised the kids (4 boys) that we would go swimming the last day we stayed there. Part of the reason I booked here was for the indoor pool and hot tub. We went down, the kids got in, and I didn't see towels anywhere in the pool area. I went to the front desk, and they informed me once again that there were no towels. I told him we needed towels because they kids had gotten in the pool, and they still needed to shower. We hadn't had towels by this point since the day we arrived!!! I was on the phone with my husband, who was out to get clothes for the kids, while I was also trying to get help from the clerk while the kids were in the pool. When I went back to the pool area, I noticed how dirty it was. There was black mold in the hot tub, the water was a greenish color, hair clumps, feathers, and trash all over the place. I made the kids get out right away. By this point, they had only been in the water for about 20 minutes. I had to make them go up to the third floor to our room, freezing and wet, and then all four of them stood in a warm shower together in their swim trunks until we had towels and clothes for them. All four of our kids ended up getting sick. My husband went out to buy towels and new clothes for our kids because their clothes got wet in the bathroom due to the shower curtain not keeping water in. I'm pregnant, and now I have caught whatever they have and am miserable. My husband is also sick now, and still has to go to work. They refunded us $40 for our inconvenience and troubles. This is absolutely unacceptable.

This was not a very clean room. The shower drain was incredibly clogged and after my 10-15 minute shower the tub was half full. There were makeup stains on the pillow cases that I noticed as soon as I walked in, and there were handprints on the headboard. Sink had gunk in it that was not mine. When I turned the AC unit on the room immediately started to smell disgustingly musty. Was looking forward to sleeping in (especially since it’s the weekend) but there was no “do not disturb” sign to put on the door, so housekeeping woke me up around 9:00 by knocking on the door multiple times. However the bed and pillows were really comfortable and I slept very well. The room is spacious and already came with an extra blanket. Basically my main issue was cleanliness, especially when I’ve paid much less to stay in much cleaner places. I got the cheapest room available for just one night which was supposedly $120 but I was somehow charged $180. I would expect much more for $180.

Excellent and very clean. The price is not bad for the quality you get, and there is continental breakfast. Also next to the frontdesk there is a wide selection of snacks and drinks that can be purchased 24 hours a day. The employees are very curteous and professional. Very clean rooms, flat screens, super cold air conditioning, and mirrors facing the bed. No adult channels available, as this is a child friendly, family friendly establishment. Internet is fast, and water in bath comes out super hot if you want it to. There is a cool little couch area as well, so if your significant other is in the doghouse then the couch is always available for retreating haha! There is also a work out facility, if i remember correctly, as well as a swimming pool. The doors to the rooms are all in an interior hallway, so no worries about walking out directly into the world. Also very quiet atmosphere here. Excellent and very clean. The price is not bad for the quality you get, and there is continental breakfast. I am a travel agent and was visiting this hotel to review for a client whom wanted to host her family reunion in Houston/Galveston area.

She specifically requested this hotel because it have a pool for the kids to play in and a whirlpool for the adults to lounge in.

I checked in to this hotel on Saturday, February 29, 2020. Upon arrival, I was informed that they didn't have any king beds available but could offer me two queen beds. Not my preference, but the purpose was to assess the quality of the hotel to ensure my clients receive a pleasant stay, so I conformed to their availability. The front desk clerk provided me a key and I was on my way to my assigned room. Upon arrival, the door was open, housekeeping was just starting the cleaning process. Yes, you read that right. I was given a key to a dirty room. I went back downstairs to inform the front desk clerk that the room she assigned me isn't available at the moment and asked if she had any rooms that were available. ( I had just driven 6 hours and was pretty exhausted). The front desk clerk called the room she assigned to me to confirm that it was't ready. Once she confirmed, she analyzed her database and confirmed that they were all booked and volunteered to transfer my reservation to another Marriott (but I had to call and verify that they had availability - which was odd since I was the one being inconvenience -but I did). I located a Marriott that had vacancies and shared the news with the front desk agent, she said she released my reservation and that I WASN'T CHARGED. Well my account showed differently as there was a pending charged from the hotel for a night stay and deposit. I showed her and she stated that it should be released soon. That was the end of that. It is March 20, 2020 and that transaction is still pending. I later found out that the night auditor charged me and they are holding my funds for 30 days due to a mistake on their behalf. I have called multiple times to have this issue resolved and Julissa has been very helpful; nevertheless, there is still a pending charge on my account. This has been an inconvenient experience and I would not want my clients to undergo such a horrid experience. Before Julissa, I received attitude from one lady that said she was the day shift supervisor. She treated me as if I was bothering her, yet her company decided to hold/take my money at their will. My advice is to ensure you do not need your money within a timely manner, because you will find yourself in a financial hardship. I'm vexed at their process, I was charged for a service they...
