Picnic Loop — Attraction in Houston

I love this park because of how peaceful it is to ride a bike in it, even so close to a mega city, but then I realized the point of this park which is picnic.

The park still offers a piece of nature hidden in the city. You can’t even see any buildings around you because of how thick the vegetation is. However, the tables, benches, swings, and other objects are incredibly old and mostly obsolete.

So as a Picnic Park, which it is: 3 stars

But as a simple bicycle...

Picnic loop is a very picturesque, gothic and peaceful area. It is full of old oak trees and pine trees giving it the old, creepy feel. It's also completely full of picnic tables from all different eras. It is a GREAT place to bike if you are a biker, and just do the rounds. Come here on a cloudy day and enjoy the beauty this loop has to offer. It brings me back in time and is a great place for me to bike...

This is the best park in Houston, go early, avoid weekends when noisy complete families take over the park with screaming children. This loop is better than the parks famous 3 mile loop, much quieter, less people, easier parking and more scenic. Plenty of parking specially as you drive deeper...
