The dog park itself is pretty bland, though there's enough room in both areas for dogs to run. There are shady areas thanks to mature trees and benches to relax on. A parking area near the entrance would be a welcome addition rather than people parking on the grass, or in the street. Though the latter is allowed during certain times on certain days. My issues w/ this park is the irresponsible dog owners that need to educate themselves on the City of Houston Dog Park Rules on the city's website. Aggressive dogs are not allowed in the parks, even leashed. They should be removed immediately. This is per the City of Houston website. Dogs over 25# need to stay in the large dog area, not inside the under 25# area. Yes, every dog deserves an area to run, play, & burn off energy. If you know your dog is aggressive, don't take it to the park when other dogs are there. If you're there with an aggressive dog and another dog shows up, you need to leave, not argue, or become defensive when asked to do so.

Great park. Terrible community. I'm not from here and am passing through. The past 3 days I've been to this park and every time someone has failed to comply with the small dog rule. Then there's nowhere for small dogs to go, as they're in both the big and small dog parks. For example, today this guy came in with this pit mutt and expected my 3 month old Yorkie to play with him. All 3 days I asked politely to move their dogs into the big dog pen, and each time a different person from the community has refused. Whelp, cops called! Southern hospitality is a MYTH!

I really love that the big dog side actually has a big area for them to run around in. I take my girl there all the time and the community is pretty friendly. Only comments is that there's not a lot of grass (it's mostly dirt) and the entrance & water area is very dirty with mud and water.

After visiting over 10 dog parks in the Houston area, this ranks among the worst. The people and dogs who go here are the best part of it.

No grass whatsoever, there are almost never any dog waste bags provided, the benches are old and rotting, no swimming area for dogs, and the dog washing station is pretty terrible. The hose is water pressure is weak and the stream is small. It’s also located inside the park no secluded from other dogs. Water collect near it, which that is normal, but there is no drain anywhere so it just creates a muddy mess. I never wash my dogs here because of all of this.

The gate of the fence that connects to the small dog park is not built up to par so big dogs can push through it and enter the small dog park.

Considering the area where this park is, how it has been getting built up over the years, and my experience with other dog parks in Houston, I was quite shocked to find this is the only dog park in the area and that it is of this caliber.

I truly hope they make major improvements soon, as many people still visit this one because it’s close to where they live, or build another one in the area that is much more like the other dogs park of much...

This place is pretty decent to bring you dog. The dog park doesn't really have a pool or obstacle for the dog to play with. It does have a dog water fountain so they can get some water or use the public water hose they have there too. I recommend bringing a ball, frisbee or some sort of dog toy so your dog can play with while being there. It wasn't too pack with dogs the time I went around 10 AM. I would recommend coming here again since it close by where I live at but it could be better. This dog park needs more green grass because if it rains I am pretty sure this place is a mess with tons of mud. Parking lot is a little distance away from dog park just fyi I seen other post here that cars have been broken into. So do not leave valuable stuff in there. Please Share, Like, Follow....
