After seeing a yard sign across the street coming out from Kid to Kid - my wife and I have been on big Acai bowl kick lately so we just had to try it out for lunch.
Upon entering, I was instantly greeted by one girls working and noticed the very clean, fresh interior. I want to say there were probably 4 tables for seating but what impressed me was the fruit topping station behind the glass as it all looked so fresh.
We ordered 2 Large PB Everbowls and 1 Nanaberry Bliss smoothie and added peanut butter. Our order total came to roughly $41 which is fairly expensive for lunch but Acai bowls/smoothie are just expensive. Compared to the local Acai place near us in Concord, this place was on another level. All the fruit was glistening in freshness, the acai was so fresh and had such a great consistency that you just could not resist. The granola had was felt like almost rice krispies in your mouth but whatever it was... delicious.
The smoothie was for my 3 year old and he did not put the straw down after getting his first taste but of course I had to get my Dad tax in. The vanilla base was something I had never tried before but WOW it was amazing. Again a very fresh tasting smoothie that my son enjoyed and that's important.
This will be our new go to Acai bowl place especially when in Huntersville - but after seeing there build your own bowl section of the menu with 6 different bases to choose from... we may try something unique next time! Did I mention they offer "bee pollen" as a topping ??

Iām shocked and deeply disappointed by the complete lack of care and safety at this establishment. I specifically asked if the toast was gluten-freeānot once, but twiceāand was assured that it was. After eating some, I asked again to confirm, and only then did the server say she would ātriple checkā with the owner. Thatās when the truth came out: they had recently switched to a new bread that was NOT gluten-free.
This is not a minor oversightāitās a serious health risk. For anyone with celiac disease or gluten intolerance, ingesting gluten is not just a matter of discomfort; it can cause lasting damage. The fact that they were unaware of the ingredients in something as basic as toastāand gave false assurancesāis completely unacceptable and negligent.
This place is not safe for those with dietary restrictions or allergies. I strongly urge others to think twice before dining here, and I hope management takes this as a wake-up call to train their staff properly and take food safety seriously. One mistake like this can land someone in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wanted to check this spot out because my best friend swears by this place. Everything was on point from the decor to the cleanliness which was a plus for me. The only problem I had with this place one of the employees I think his name was Kevi,he wasn't helpful and he had a(Very)nonchalant demeanor. I made him aware that this was my first time and I was excited because I love having healthy food options. He made my experience a bit uncomfortable I guess I was asking too many questions. I didn't know it would be a problem considering it was my first time and wanted a few recommendations. Moving forward I will check out the Fort...
