OH NO! I'm so disapointed with my meal! One of my favorite things at one of my favorite places was inedible. 🥺 the eggs Benedict was sorely undercooked and full of water, which poured out and made the english muffin a soggy mess. The egg whites were just barely done on the outside and still slimey inside. I have had this dish to go before and it was delicious. I know that if this happened eating in they would have corrected it right away. My husband called and talked to the manager, Jessie, and he didn't hesitate to say that he would make it right on our next visit. That's why I'm keeping the 5 stars. Things happen when it gets busy. Metro is still a great place to eat, with great people.
Past visit: Metro is one of our favorite places to eat. We've been going there since they opened. It's been a little while since we've been able to visit because of my health but today was our first time back. The place hasn't changed. Still as cute as ever. Today I was using my wheelchair and my husband was helping me to the entrance. Before we got to the front door a young man, who worked there opened the door and asked if we were coming inside. He then held the door for us. Our server, Brandi, is top notch! Friendly, attentive, she wasn't pushy or make you feel rushed but was right there when we needed anything. She had suggestions and we talked about old menu items that were no longer served that we really missed. The food was as delicious as always. I had the tender and flavorful Philly cheese steak sandwich with hot, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, fries. My husband had the cheeseburger, also with fries. I can only assume it was incredible because he pretty much inhaled it 😂. Just as we were finishing up, Ray came out from the kitchen and talked with us about the menu items that we were asking about. He took the time to explain why some things were taken away and how a few would be back as specials. We've always loved the way we're treated like family at Metro Diner. I recommend you go in and give them a try. You won't be...
Read moreThis was our 1st time checking out this place and it was DELICIOUS! The price of the food was great too. All of that is something you really hope for when you go out to eat but I will tell you what made the biggest impression on us was the friendly staff and amazing service. Michelle S. our hostess was such a pleasant 1st contact when we walked in. You can tell she is a real sweetheart! And the super big honorable mention goes to our server Colin! He just has the best energy, seemed to genuinely care about our experience, and wanted to help us make sure we got something delicious on a first visit! He even recommended blueberries for my pancakes and it was just like he knew it was my favorite somehow!! If you go there ask for Colin he’s one of the best servers I’ve had at any restaurant over the course of my lifetime.
Let’s put it all this way- my husband loves food and he got the biscuits and gravy plate and he kept saying that this is the best breakfast he’s ever eaten out. And we have eaten at a lot of places over the year. Even if they are busy don’t miss out on this place. It’s really clean and we really dig the retro vibe. It’s worth the wait and your food comes out pretty quick!!
We will 100% be back for...
Read moreMetro is a fantastic breakfast/brunch/lunch option. I would consider myself a regular here with 2-4 visits a month. I frequent the Bissel Breakfast menu item as it's a good variety of food. Either pancakes or waffle plus eggs any style, plus a meat option, a bread option and hash browns. Food is always made to order and fresh and hot when it gets to you. There are seasonal pancake/waffle flavors and styles you can get to switch it up. I love the cinnamon style pancakes with cinnamon butter and icing! There is usually a wait in the breakfast hours but not because of a slow kitchen, because of the line to get seated! There are a few bar seats and you can watch the kitchen work like a well oiled machine while you wait for and while eating. Service is always great here and definitely gives off small town vibes even though this is technically a chain restaurant. Prices are admittedly a little on the high side in my opinion and is probably my only slight con. Otherwise, experience and atmosphere is great, food is great, service is always great (and we've been seated with just about every waitress/waiter here!). A great little spot for food and one of my...
