I ordered the tonkatsu ramen with chashu. The negatives: the broth was thin and lacking in flavor, I'm not convinced any tare was used, the noodles looked and tasted like spaghetti, the spicy that I requested was barely able to be perceived (and when I asked for gochujang which was clearly on the menu I was brought some red oil (assuming infused with chili)), the fountain soda was expensive and the carbonation off, the egg was fully hard boiled (though some marination coloring was present), no sesame oil or other topping was offered, and finally the chashu barely had any flavor, as if it had barely been marinated (highly doubtful it was braised) and was not seared. Positives: the bamboo stalks were decent.
Now I know I'm going to a restaurant with poke in the name and not ramen, but I've gotten better tonkatsu ramen from the refrigerator section of Costco, and can definitely personally, easily, make better.
All that being said I gave 3 stars as the poke side seemed well apportioned and in all likelihood...

We got take out, but there are tables...although you are still eating out of plastic bowls and the ambiance of the quiet, white space could be improved.

Read moreWe grabbed food from PokeBros a couple days ago, and honestly, I left with a pretty bad impression.
I ordered the Tuna Bowl, and overall it was fine—except for the fact that there was way too much sauce at the bottom. The rice was basically swimming in it. I think it was soy sauce or something similar—not super salty on its own, but there was so much of it that it ended up tasting way too salty.
My wife had a similar experience—she got the last bowl on the menu, the one with everything in it. Same deal—everything was drowning in sauce. It felt more like a mix between a poke bowl and a mini ramen soup.
So yeah, we ate it, but we definitely weren’t happy with it. It didn’t feel like we were eating a poke bowl—it was more like a bowl of soup with toppings. Pretty...
