Read moreI went to donate some WWI and WWII family memorabilia. I was greeted with the most friendly and knowledgeable staff, who are all volunteers, many of whom are veterans themselves. As I spent the afternoon going through the memorabilia with the staff, who knew so much just by looking at pictures or reading the documents, it was nice that I got to learn a lot more about my family history by sitting and going through everything with them.
After I got to take a tour of the museum. The Museum is Packed with a wide array of vehicles, uniforms, flags and personal items, there is so much history to experience. It is a great place to visit for an afternoon or weekend getaway. The outside and surrounding area is under construction but do not let that stop you from visiting as the museum is open.

The museum is truly a tribute to the men and women who have served in the United Stated Armed Forces, and I myself am thankful for their services...

For instance, ive been to the WWII Museum in New Orleans, and they didnt have HALF of the original and eclectic artifacts as this one does! When I say thousands of pieces, I mean THOUSANDS of pieces!!! With the stories and facts to go with them all. And real Veteran volunteers come and speak to you about anything you need, plus their amazing (and intense) memories. What a privilege to have been able to go here. The "Birds" alone, are enough to impress even the most distant Gen Z kid. All for just a donation. I'm beyond impressed and, as a Veteran myself, I teared up 2 different times and knowing a helluva lot more than when I went in...and came out even more grateful than I already was. Thanks for all of your help, Mr. Corey. God bless yall. God bless the UNITED...
