I DONT AGREE WITH GOOGLE OR YOU HIDING MY FIRST REVIEW FROM THE PUBLIC AND I DONT AGREE WITH THIS POST BEING HIDDEN OR âREPORTEDâ BY GOOGLE OR ANY FRIENDS AND/OR FOLLOWERS OF LATRELL OR CONSCIOUS PLATE FOR SPEAKING MY TRUTH.
This is my second time posting this review on google underneath their Buisness because it was deleted and blocked from being public the first time. They âReported my reviewâ because they donât want the people to see this ...but itâs needed! I posted the pics of proof from my first review that was sent to my email. The review name is Karihanna93. I was disappointed to spend my money Twice and not get a great food experience.
Okay, Hereâs MY REVIEW EXPERIENCE AGAIN!
Me and my Bf went here twice and both times we were disappointed. We placed an order 1 hour earlier and when we got there, we literally had to wait another hour because they âforgot to make the foodâ. The first time we went we had the avocado fries, mushroom bites, 2 pizzas and a chickpea sandwich. The avocado fries was the BEST THING. It was my favorite. The chickpea sandwich was good but was very dry/dehydrating. Chickpea is normally dehydrating and I think if they had added some better tasting sauce, a few slices of fresh tomatoes & some romaine that could have balance out that very well. The mushroom bits were very Salty and the 2 Pizzas we got was disgusting due to the âCheese aka Conscious sauceâ. We didnât try the pizzas until we got home. I wanted to enjoy this food sooooo bad because it was âAlkaline approvedâ... but just couldnât due to the level of salt content. They really need to get rid of the âConscious sauceâ or at least change the flavor. It basically taste like a SALTY HEMP SEED SAUCE. Itâs not flavored well and in my opinion it throws off all of their dishes. Idek if itâs their taste buds that are off point ...because their food is semi Okay, it could be good without the Sauce. When the âConscious Sauce is placed on top of it the food becomes nasty. I went the second time for some burro fries and another chickpea sandwich and it was okay. (I really wanted the avocado fries, but I settled for the burro bc it was no longer on their menu). The food was Not warm as usually like the first round. I received about 8-9 fries and the waffles was hard on the chickpea sandwich. They need to make their food with Love, patiences and NOT throw all their different spices & seasonings in one bottle just to cut down on time. I heard that they do that at Conscious plate with their seasonings and use that same mix for every meal. Thatâs not wise because that mix doesnât work well with everything. Iâm writing this honest review so that they can improve their customer service experience and their cooking style because I would love for more people to eat the alkaline plant based way. Eating alkaline is much healthier than just eating regular vegan food and so far they are the only alkaline vegan restaurant that I know in the Chicago area. Please makes these changes and provide better customer service and food style making so others would feel comfortable and confident in coming back again to support...
Read moreWell well now look at here, soliciting and begging your customers for $100,000 for your debt? Nah, Handle that yourself. You got grants and all of that. You bit off more than you can chew when you jumped into the restaurant in overpriced Woodlawn/Hyde Park so that was on you. Then your prices for your food is overpriced anyway for the quality and quantity that you serve. The spelt waffles are too thick and dry, the chickpea eggs, dry, it took a lot of the good things off the menu that shouldâve never been removed, you overcharging for watermelon juice, and the coconut water, you smell like just grease even after youâve left your restaurant, get soggy onion rings, with the birria tacos you throw more quinoa salad and stuff in there instead of actually giving more of the tacos like you should! Naw you all are crazy. You nickel and dime your customers for simple things such as sauces when you can include more with the overpriced ass entrĂŠe they bought already, you making false claims that youâre the only alkaline restaurant in the country and you are so far from that. Youâre not the only restaurant that follows Dr. Sebiâs practices and is completely alkaline so stop the BS. Then your wait time is just as ridiculous as when you were in boxville. If You spent less time sitting at the table or the counter on your computer doing post on Facebook and TikTok and instead get back there and help cook then maybe things will get moving but There is still no excuse for the ridiculous wait time that we experience every single time one comes to your restaurant. But Iâm done because itâs just not worth it. And then to only offer a discount to the residents of Woodlawn is basically a slap in the face to everyone else that travels from wherever they live to come and patronize your business. But canât expect anything less from black owned. Stop begging people to cover your debt. Very...
Read moreI do love that a place as such exists in our neighborhood & community. My only push for a growth majorly in customer service is offering customers something complementary when service is slow, and even more so a portion size thatâs filling for some of the prices . I do understand that certain items in the grocery store will cost , however it always feels good see what you are paying for in full effect. Effective communication when orders are delayed or will be a delay is imperative . A few times I have waited for an hour or 30-40 extra minutes and lost time in somethingâ else I could have been doing when I thought my order would be ready based on the service time given . I believe black businesses as a whole can grow more in this area . There is no harm in offering customers something extra or a voucher, gift card , when these things happen. With tax this dish is close to 17 dollars and I definitely feel this amount can go a longer way- merely an appetizer if that. While I know the prep and ingredients for alkaline food is unique, I also can spend 11 dollars at a quality salad shop such as sweet green or vegan places on the north side where the dishes the portions and options for a bowl is more filling. Even the salads can be better portioned at CP with a variety of sauces. I do feel some of the items are over priced for the portion sized and limited variety, but thatâs my perspective from other places I see out here. I have been a supporter and I want to continue to be . It been some time since I have been here however this is a small part that I would love to see for the future . Its always love , & our businesses can thrive with collective work &...
