Ivywild Park — Attraction in Idaho

My grandson and I were here for the pool on a Sunday at 6:30pm. We had a fantastic time! Everything is nice and clean, including the locker room. The pools are terrific and have something for every age. They have a swim test that must be passed for any kid under 17 if they want to on the drop slides. The test includes tread water for 30 seconds, float on your back unassisted for 15 seconds and free style half a lap. My grandson isn't able to accomplish those which preclude him from going on the drop off slides but he was able to go with me down the largest slide. I think we went down the slide 50 times, it was a blast. The kiddie pool had a couple of small slides which he enjoyed too. The water was clean and the temp was plenty warm. They DON'T have life jackets to loan here like the Meridian pool. There were plenty of chairs and loungers and they had a small snack shack. I didn't see what food items were available. I prefer this pool to the Meridian pool because of access to the large slide. There were plenty of staff on the pool deck watching every area...

I liked the price to get in it was like $5 for me and my son was $3 I think so that was nice. They have a big ol tube slide that's fun. Lots of grass to lay out some blankets or chairs, a playground, the kids can run around and play. Not so great they close it down twice a day I think for cleaning or idk, but in the middle of the afternoon like 2pm they just said, get out of the pool. Lifeguards go a bit overboard with the "rules" I wasn't allowed to have my son on my shoulders while in the pool, also not allowed to throw him up in the air...We left because we didn't understand. Overall not a bad way to kill a afternoon and not go broke if you don't mind the people and...

I have been coming here the last 7 years. I don’t live in the neighborhood and I just moved to ontario but my family lives in the house connecting to the park so when we visit we always go. I’ve been more than 20 times now and it’s always busy. But in a good way. It’s got a family vibe going on. It’s nice and beautiful. It’s got plenty of shade, it’s where my daughter took her first steps! It’s entertaining enough because it’s big but not to big you need to keep an eye on them by following them around. Plenty of seating and it’s got a field kids use for soccer and a nice track around the field! So many dogs love it! Nice bigs bathroom and a gazebo...
