I would have loved to give this place a full and review but unfortunately circumstances prevented this. We tried to dine here on Jan 06 2024

We arrived at 1210pm and told it is open seating. Our server promptly brought us 2 menus and 2 glasses of water. Good start but sadly this is the last time the server ever came by our table.

After roughly 2 minutes of looking at the menu we had made our selections and closed our menus and started having a conversation.

We noticed the decor was nice, tables were clean and the floor wasn't sticky. All great things. 5 minutes later we noticed a 2 top get seated drinks brought to them. Then a 3 top got seated next along with their drinks and menu. The server then went to the 2 top and took their order and placed the order with the kitchen. 5 minutes later again another 2 top walked in. she gave them their menus and drinks.

Server then went to the 3 top and took their order and went back and placed it thru to the kitchen. She then went to the second 2 top and took their order and placed it thru to the kitchen.

first 2 top got their food delivered. then the other two top got their appetizers delivered to their table. Then the 3 top got their main course delivered.

During this whole time we are still sitting there menus closed and on the table waiting for the server to take our order. Frustrated after waiting 25 MINUTES from the time we were seated and watching multiple tables seated, given appetizers and main course meals. The whole time we were ignored.

We got sick of waiting and just left after that. I picked up and plopped my menu down on the table loudly so the waitress would notice watch as we walked out the door since she decided to ignore us for 25 minutes.

I wanted to like this place. I wanted to have a really good bowl of Pho, but this worthless waitress couldn't even do her job correctly. I would love to return to this location but if i ever walk in that door again and see her working there i will turn around and walk right out. There is no excuse for her terrible service. She should not be a waitress, maybe a busser or dishwasher is more of...

I'm gonna lie, I was heading to another Vietnamese restaurant for lunch only to find out that they close for part of the day. So, luckily Pho Le is right across the street! I was torn between pho or tofu and veggies but the food gods spoke to me and said it's pho today.

I did come at a later hour so it was really quiet. I was greeted right away! I grabbed myself a table while the nice server brought over my goodies (water, menu and utensils). I placed my order and just hung out for a bit.

My pho came out in the biggest bowl! I ordered a large and boy they didn't mess around. I have been to other local pho joints in town and have left hungry with their "large" bowls. Pho Le did not play when they give you a large portion of pho. The broth was piping hot! I was given a great amount of noodles. I got a beautiful side of fresh basil, cilantro, jalapenos and sprouts. The broth was flavorful! It had the right amount of saltiness to it. The soup was nice warming me up today. The only flaw about this dish was the protein. It looked promising but I got really small bits of brisket and the meatballs were sliced so thin. There wasn't a lot of substance to to the protein in my bowl.

I'm happy I stopped in today and got a beautiful bowl of pho. Knowing how much they give I'll be ordering the medium portion next time. Pho unfortunately doesn't heat up well so I had the leave the rest which is a bummer. If you're looking for a dope bowl of pho with a nice staff, Pho Le is that local joint you...

DO NOT GO HERE. We had been loyal customers since before Covid for at least a year we would come once a week. We quit coming because they are so STINGY. I always order extra noodles and noticed that they weren’t putting them in my bowl. So I would ask for them on the side. Then they started telling me I would be charged two dollars extra for the PLATE! We didn’t go for months and then thought we would try for a pick up order. The woman/employee on the phone was talking over me the whole time and would not let me finish my sentences. When I got there we were charged two times for the exact amount. When I saw that the card reader had excepted the first payment she told me no that it didn’t go through so I was charged a second time. Our order was wrong, we were charged twice. We called back immediately and the same employee was talking over us and wouldn’t listen. Weeks later we finally got a message from the manager who said we could have a refund or come enjoy a complimentary meal. We thought the meal would be easier so we showed up and the same employee was working, would not listen to me about our complementary meal snd was talking over me the whole time. She said (I don’t understand why you think you get a free meal. My family comes in here all the time and I never give them free things. I don’t have a authority to do that) when she was the one who caused all of this. We paid for our meal and will never be going back. Still haven’t gotten a...

I'm a pretty big Pho and Ramen addict and hadn't tried Pho Le out yet.... Needless to say I'll be going back again and again. Service was great. Atmosphere was modern and very spaced out making it feel like your not crowded when sitting down to eat lunch. The Bùn bò Huê is amazing here! I took my soup to work. And wow.... This soup is literally everything I've wanted out of a pho style soup. Since with Pho the Broth is really the star of the show. I think we have a winner here. The broth was spicy and on point. Not too spicy that it will ruin the rest of your day. Just perfect comforting spice level for someone who enjoys spicy food. All of the mixins we're perfect. The sliced beef was delicious. Cilantro, onions, jalapenos, cabbage (wish there was more of this). They also had some mix of an oil and maybe like some fish sauce to give it some additional Vietnamese flavor. This Bùn bò Huê is a winner. And I will be returning for bowls upon bowls of this soup throughout the cold winter. It will be hard to try more of their menu when they have an item that's this good. But I'll attempt to review the rest of their menu in the future. 8.5/10 Amazing!

VERDICT: A quick bite delight for a small price. FOOD: The rice dish (comes with pork, shrimp, veggies, dressing, and rice). The pork was tender and flavorful, while the shrimp were stiffly seared. I prefer my shrimp less cooked than this, but the whole meal far exceeded my expectations, especially for $12. SERVICE: Just right. Quick, got us what we needed, and was gone, never to be seen again until a check materialized when our forks hit empty plates. With water pitchers and all the side elements (hoisen and such) already on the table, the conversation between myself and company flowed uninterrupted. ATMOSPHERE: I love the woodwork room dividers (the same as the ones at Nara Sushi, actually). The clever use of lighting and mural (directly painted onto the wall) add chic character that enhances the mood-lit, calming atmosphere of this joint.

So I travel around the west coast and am now in Boise. So of course I tried the pho. Pros: the soup had a very good flavor. The restaurant is modern, clean, and you can see inside the kitchen (that's a good thing with some nasty kitchens I've come across) The summer rolls were "ok". I've had way better. Cons: only a few pho selections on the menu. I've seen pages and pages of different pho at every other restaurant, but only a few here. The service was pretty bad, the servers were way behind and couldn't control the action. There was a crowd inside but it wasn't THAT busy. Took a while to get a menu (almost just got up and got it myself) Didn't get a refill on my water, server forgot the order and had to ask again. The website name is more clever than the restaurant name (Idapho vs Pho Le).
