Ramada Point is a picturesque area nestled within Sand Harbor State Park on the northeastern shore of Lake Tahoe, Nevada. It offers breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountains, making it an ideal location for photography enthusiasts eager to capture the natural beauty of the lake and its environs. Unlike the main sandy beaches of Sand Harbor where dogs are not permitted, Ramada Point allows dogs and welcomes families with pets to enjoy its scenic charm. It's a perfect spot for relaxation and enjoying the outdoors with your furry friends. Many visitors find themselves enamored with Ramada Point's natural allure and hesitate to leave. We highly recommend this serene spot to anyone visiting the area. To ensure you secure the best spot, arriving early is advisable.

As I was exiting the Sand Harbor beach, I was asked by another tourist if I saw the rocks. I had no idea about them and started looking for them. These are called "Ramada Point Rocks" and there is a dedicated parking lot for them which was closed. Basically, you walk from the Sand Harbor beach parking lot in the direction of the big hut shaped shelter and you will see these towards the left. There is no Google Maps location for them, so I submitted a request to Google to add this point here to help people find them. The water here has the turquoise color and is really beautiful.

Excellent stop to stop and gaze at the crystal clear water of Lake Tahoe, or the surrounding snowcapped mountains, or everything or nothing in particular. Ample Parking and good Restroom facilities available.

This place is beautiful, no doubt. Swimming in this lake is very cold - the ultimate trust fall—with yourself. By the time you get out, you’re just proud you didn’t scream louder than the wild geese and ducks.

++ Good Clear water, pine forests, beautiful mountain range, Picturesque giant bolders. Lots of different waterfowl for avid birdwatchers.

-- Bad Many "influencers" blocking trails.

In short: Pretty but crowded depending on daytime. Serious photographers know the trick: wait until 6pm. Once they’re gone, silence and sanity return—along with the best light for anyone who came to photograph the lake instead...
