We went as a group of four girls to have some drinks. I forgot my ID in the car, which was parked far away. When I tried to order, they told me they couldn’t serve me without it, which I understood and stepped back.
However, when my friend tried to order two drinks—one for herself and one for another friend who was in the restroom—they refused to serve her, saying each ID could only buy one drink. As we were discussing this on the side, a woman who seemed to be an employee, manager, or the boss (I’m not sure) said, “This is how it works in America, didn’t you learn that?”—which felt quite racist.
Shortly after, a man approached us, asking if there was a problem, but he seemed very nervous and ready to argue. I told him, “There’s no problem.” Finally, our friend came back from the restroom and tried to order her drink, but once again, they pointed at me and told my friend, “You’re not going to give her a drink.”
My friend asked, “Why you think that I will give her a drink? Why are you making this so difficult? We just want to have a drink two of us not the girl who forgot her ID.” At that point, the man freaked out and started shouting, “GET OUT! GET OUT!!!”
It was a terrible experience with horrible communication.
I wasn’t care about ID situation, they did right thing of course. But the attitude was unacceptable, they were so rude. cause I didn’t make pressure to them to sell drink to me or I didn’t get mad about it. It’s so sad to see that kind of people are making bussines here, cause it was such a beautiful place. But I will...
Read moreMy family has been coming to this beach since I was in diapers, and I am now 27 years old. We came early to get a decent spot on the sand, and luckily found one. My dad and sister offered to go to the bar & grill to get everyone food and drinks. Naturally, a few of us stayed so that our spot wouldn’t get taken. I told my sister to order me a drink (whatever looks good) and she told my dad which one to order. The bar tender was side eyeing my sister and dad for ordering the drink. Twenty minutes later a park ranger comes over and scolded my father for “passing off a drink” to someone else. I offered to show him my ID, he ignored me and continued to tell us that if we went back to the bar & grill we would be “trespassing”. This experience was absurd. The restaurant owner lingered behind us to make sure order was restored....
Read moreBeen coming to Lake Tahoe for about 4 years now, every year there haven’t been any issues, until this year, the owner was giving attitude to my wife when making our drinks, eventually doing the same for other people. When talking to the staff is obvious that the owner has gotten this kind of complaints before and they said they couldn’t do anything since she is the owner.
Owner if you read that review: I think you should take some kind of professionalism classes to value your customers and to be returning customers. You might think because you are the owner there is nothing people can do since you are a boss. However I will file a complaint with Nevada parks and recreation and will encourage them to read the reviews on google in how unprofessional you are. I hope next years visit...
