This park is one of my favorite places. The Philosopher's Corner is a limestone Octagon of Truth & Freedom with carved quotes by great thinkers like Plato, Rousseau, Aristotle and Jesus who said, "The Truth shall set you free." The gardens offer seemingly hundreds of giant mature lilac bushes that smell like heaven in May. My only complaint is that there is often litter in the wooded areas which is true of all public spaces in democrat controlled cities and universities. It's a respect issue that degrades the park. I have personally gone to that park and done the cleanup and trummed back the neglected overgrowth in the philosophers corner. Has great trails to follow for those with strong legs. It has helped me very much to get my leg back in shape after my full hip replacement and the three years I struggled with my hip and knee prior to the replacement.
