Nestled on the side of Simpson College campus, this is a great park. While it's not the biggest or fanciest, it is spacious and well laid out. There are a good number of walkways, and plenty of both sunny and shaded areas. A number of benches complete the payout. I heard someone mention that since the garden was started, GPA went up 3 points. I'm not sure of the veracity of the claim, but I wouldn't be surprised. It's really a charming place. Read moreBuxton Park Arboretum is a lovely refreshing calming exciting place. The beauty comes in from the variety of flowers. We spent time looking at roses, a butterfly garden, a fountain scene with borders have pink and white flowers. There was a gazebo to sit and reflect and enjoy orange marigolds. Beside that, there were trees to explore from all over the world. My daughter found a Buxton scavenger hunt that we all could do. Something like that made the park interesting for the grandchildren.
