We always have an absolute blast at Buxton Park, so quaint and beautiful. And such a fun little interactive play area for the kids! #iowa #nature #park #asmr

A beautiful place to rest and enjoy nature. Positioned next to Simpson College in the heart of Indianola, we enjoyed the sounds of the water fountain while looking at all of the different plants and flowers. Perfect for an afternoon stroll with friends and family.

Don't you just love arboretum! And this one is open all the time, obviously loved by gardeners, and you can bring your dog. Thanks for the inclusive water fountain! There was a nice exploratory sensory area for young kids to play in.

Nestled on the side of Simpson College campus, this is a great park. While it's not the biggest or fanciest, it is spacious and well laid out. There are a good number of walkways, and plenty of both sunny and shaded areas. A number of benches complete the payout. I heard someone mention that since the garden was started, GPA went up 3 points. I'm not sure of the veracity of the claim, but I wouldn't be surprised. It's really a charming place. There is some on street parking, but no dedicated parking lot for the park. There also aren't many lights. Regardless, it's a nice oasis of...

Buxton Park Arboretum is a lovely refreshing calming exciting place. The beauty comes in from the variety of flowers. We spent time looking at roses, a butterfly garden, a fountain scene with borders have pink and white flowers. There was a gazebo to sit and reflect and enjoy orange marigolds. Beside that, there were trees to explore from all over the world. My daughter found a Buxton scavenger hunt that we all could do. Something like that made the park interesting for the grandchildren. I would recommend spending time there. I'd like to...

A beautiful park for taking pictures, you regularly see senior photos, family photos, or wedding pictures being taken here. But it's a great place for a picnic, to spread a blanket out, or to sit and read. There are lots of interesting plants and trees to look at as well as the trees. No play equipment or bathrooms, just nature, paved paths, and places to...
