We had such an incredible experience at Felix’s Family Farm in Ipswich while celebrating our daughter’s first birthday. From start to finish, everything about the day exceeded our expectations.
We rented the yurt, which was amazing — spacious, beautifully set up, and such a unique spot for a celebration. It gave us the perfect balance of comfort and a fun, rustic atmosphere. Guests loved it, and it felt really special to host such an important milestone there.
The farm itself is truly magical. Everywhere you turn there’s something delightful to see — from the friendly bunnies, goats, and cows to the breathtaking fields of sunflowers and dahlias that made the perfect backdrop for photos. The children had the best time exploring, and the adults were just as enchanted.
What really made the day extra special was Paul, our host. He was so welcoming, thoughtful, and helpful throughout the whole process. You can tell how much care he puts into making sure visitors feel comfortable and happy. His kindness and attention to detail made everything run smoothly, and we’re so grateful for all his support.
We couldn’t have asked for a better venue to celebrate such a meaningful occasion. Felix’s Family Farm is a wonderful place full of warmth, beauty, and charm, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, family-friendly setting for an event. We’re already looking forward to...

My partner and I drove 2 hours to go see the bloom on 8/20. We followed directions on Google maps to end up in a random street with no sunflower farm, by a school. Then we followed directions on the website to go behind Diary Queen to end up in another random street with no sunflower farm. The kind man there told us and another car behind us searching for the sunflower field to go to the end of another street, which then lead us to the filed, thanks to some road signs giving directions to the sunflower filed.
We got here and found that most of the flowers were burnt. We were promised by the only person there, this lady that there's still more bloom to see on the back end and charged us full price $10/person. We had to pay in cash as the website was not selling tickets anymore and the lady would only take cash payment.
After buying our tickets we proceeded into the farm, said hello to some baby goats baking in the sun. We turned back around and left running in about 2 minutes as the farm was infested with an uncontrollable number of mosquitoes. They followed us like bees in a cartoon!
All in all, what a terrible experience - trying to find the place only to get charged full price to see some burnt flower and get bit by mosquitoes. Please don't waste or money...
Read moreBeautiful sunflower field with a separate “cut-your-own” stem section to maintain the field you can walk through with friends and family. You can tell that the family who owns and operates the business cares about their customers and is super helpful in ensuring that everyone who visits has a positive experience. Paul was especially helpful in explaining the field and how they want to grow more plants and flowers to attract more new and recurring visitors. He shared a lot of information on how they grow specific flowers so that we can try to replicate at home. He also took some great photos of us with the flowers we cut. We will most definitely be returning to visit again. ...
