PureLux YANGSIGUAN Hair & Scalp Spa — Attraction in Irvine

I am a faithful client of the OG San Gabriel location. Eric told me about the new locations - Irvine and West Hollywood. I decided to try the Irvine shop which had a soft grand opening 21 Sep 24. I had driven by the location in Aug so I knew exactly where to go.

I love Culver Plaza because it has a diversity of businesses and parking is ample and the parking aisles are wide AND the parking spots aren'tthisclosetogether. Don't you just hate that?

Anyway, this was another soft branding weekend for Purelux, which is called Yangsiguan in SG. Beautiful flower arrangements outside the entrance. A stunning reception and waiting area, adorned with pics from SG of all the stars and celebrities who have experienced the scalp treatment too. Funny, I don't know why my photo with Eric wasn't framed and hanging on the wall too. Hmmm?

PureLux is open 7 days a week, 10am to 8pm. Appointments can be made online with a $20 deposit that is deducted from your service following your appointment. While you are there, you can make future appointments, which is highly encouraged as this place will fill up quickly. Trust me on this one. You do NOT want to miss out!!

There are 6 individual treatment rooms and 4 vanities in an open area for the initial scalp analysis as well as the final steps of treatment ending with another scalp analysis.

Eva is the shop manager and was an enthusiastic greeter. There is a customer form to complete to advise the technician of any allergies, sensitivities, your preference of head and shoulder massage, as well as water temperature. Very thorough.

The treatment rooms are dimly lit for a tranquil setting. High ceilings so you would never feel claustrophobic. They finish half robes (elastic on top and covers from the armpits down, leaving your shoulders exposed), plus a matching light robe on top that you only wear when you go to the open area with the vanities at the beginning and end of your session. They also furnish slippers or you can keep on your own footwear.

For women, you remove your top only and put on both robes. TIP: Avoid wearing a sports bra. At the end of your treatment, you get a relaxing shoulder massage by hand as well as with a warm pressure machine. While doing this, the technicians need to pull your bra straps off your shoulders. Sports bras prohibit that and you don't want to miss out, ladies.

My technician today was Lily. A delightful woman and very skilled. Each treatment room has a full body massage bed. I think that is the hardest part, trying to get into the massage bed in a feminine way while trying not to flash the technician that just met you 5 minutes ago.

I had the Ecoglow 90 min session. It was incredible and even more so than the treatment I get in SG. More high tech. The pic I posted explains everything included. TIP: Ladies, we love our TikTok and IG, but please try to relax, live in the present and immerse yourself in the treatment.

Due to the soft grand opening, when you are back in open vanity area, they present you with a tray of a small bottle of water, small cup of hot tea, hard candy and a pastry. Shut up! My eyes were rolling out of my head!!! Don't know if this is a usual thing but damn, I was impressed.

The reception waiting room was filled with people ready for their appointments. Usually this is when I try to speak to the first time people and encourage them to treat themselves to the 90 min session because they are worth it, but there were just too many of them and I think they would have thought I was some crazy person. Who me?

This service is for men and women. Please please please do NOT forget to tip your technicians. They work hard to please you and grant you excellent service. Please reward them for their efforts.

I recently took my mom to Pure Luxe Scalp Spa in Irvine for an Ecoglow Scalp Spa treatment, and it was an absolutely incredible experience! SO glad there is finally a location in OC! (Fun fact: Two years ago, I drove all the way to SGV and took her to the original location!) We opted for the 90-minute session priced at $198, which included scalp testing, aromatherapy, acupoint relaxation, and so much more.

The service was genuinely five-star from start to finish. The staff's attention to detail was impressive; from the lovely branded tea sleeves to the sleek, modern equipment and the tranquil private rooms, every aspect exuded luxury and care. Most of them speak Mandarin Chinese as well as English in case that helps you!

My mom had been feeling quite fatigued and had a headache and neck pain from the previous day. After the treatment, which featured a rejuvenating scalp gua sha and meridian heat massage, she felt completely revitalized! The tension melted away, and she left the spa with a noticeable pep in her step.

We’re already looking forward to our next visit. I highly recommend booking in advance, especially since they have a couples/doubles massage room, perfect for a shared experience. Curly hair girl here!! vibe check passed because I was so relaxed. This facility is very clean and well-kept. They take hygiene very seriously here. I did the 60 min session due to time. They bring you into a private room to change into. You then get brought out to the chairs outside where they analyze your scalp with the hair-scope! I thought I was doing a good job with my hair wash routine but oh man….I had a lot of oil build up and dry hair. I’m not sure if the treatment is customized per scalp needs. Once the scalp analysis is done, you head back into the private room, start your wash, and get an amazing massage chair experience. They have snacks and goodies. Staff is very friendly and professional. At the end they show you your scalp. Mine was super clean and all the follicles were cleaned out. My hair feels super soft and hydrated. It did relax my curls out. I don’t think they know how to handle curly hair unfortunately. Depending on the service you choose, they may style your hair.
