I have lived in South irving on and off from 6 years old up until 7 years ago when I moved away for good. Coming back recently for a visit was crazy... but wow was I impressed with heritage park! They really went out of their way to improve the entire thing and they did a fabulous job! They brought more of the towns history front and center with information displays. They fashioned up a killer stage for hosting live music. The gazebo is killer cool. The preserved historical house stands proud as a testimony of irvings history. They still lept the beloved train that truly is a part of my childhood. Those things and more have really brought the place to a whole new level of bada$$. Done with taste, I am truly proud of the city for spending the money and time/effort to do this. It is worth it... as well as I am chuffed they are working on improving the downtown area by helping businesses improve their signs and such. I do disagree with one thing very much, and that is the crazy huge apartment and business site plan they are going to build downtown. The design is very modern and tbh not only is it flat out ugly (sorry!) the whole style and design does NOT fit oldschool classic style downtown irving. They really are making a mistake with that imo. Otherwise I'm very proud of my home city!

Reseñas en inglés y español........... Park was well made over there. This is a beautiful park set up, with a children's playground. A trolly, and cabin of how it was in the 1900's, the trolly train is done inside too. The cabin has a table on the outside, and a bed inside with blankets. They also have a gazebo, a Santa chair, huge presents, reindeer, all decorating the park to take pictures with everything. Great for family, and Christmas friend photos. They also have new bathrooms, which were locked, and picnic tables. They also have huge plaques surround Heritage Park letting people know Irving's history, and the early settlement. They also have a old oil rig to show how it was done by windmill back in the day. They also play movies on a huge screen cinema outside. Their is handicapped parking, and wheelchair accessible. Their are trash cans surrounding the park, with dogs poop bags to, so pet friendly. Keep this park looking Amazing. You can even take your picture with a penguin also.

This was a beautiful park i love that they preserved the historic home and train station here. I went today on the 4th of july 2019 and the good people who were apart of the event were all so friendly. I learned some fun facts about the history of this location from the guides thank you and have a happy independence day!

It was utter disspointment to go for egg hunting at heritage park today. Last year, there were so many games, activities and lit many stalls. But this year, most of us felt disappointed. Not many sponsorships, no activities or games of Easter. Finally, my kid wanted to have designed ballon. So, I stood there for more than an hour and after just when my turn came up I was informed that my kid will not get ballon as we did not have red ticket. Now, we were 5-6 families who were without ticket.. and before standIng in the line we all asked about the ticket and were informed that we all will get it. I did not feel that bad for not getting the ballon but with the attitude of employees of city of Irving and the ladies who were there for the ballon making. They were so rude. Not willing at all to lIsten what we were trying to say. And on top of that the family which was standing right before us got three balloons without ticket. On asking they had no reply. It’s for sure that after today’s incident there will be negative word of mouth everywhere and people will stop visiting them eventually. Felt...

This place is beautiful and maintained very well it has plenty of seating for small gatherings the playground is neat and aesthetically pleasing for photos. The only reason i am giving it 4 stars is because the building you have to reserve for special events and my little brothers and his fiance gender reveal was the same day as someone elses special event ( which is no big deal it was a beautiful day to celebrate any special occasions) and they had reserved it for the entire day so it remained locked (they were NOT their any time we were at the location) we were their for around 4-5 hours and we noticed there was NO Restrooms available at all any buildings on the property that may have had a restroom remained locked and we had ro hurry and walk the little ones to near hy business such as McDonald's or Burger King and our mommy to be had to walk a good distance to use the restroom. I believe if they were to have available facilities even porta potties for the public it would be...
