The biobay is definitely a must see when you are in Puerto Rico. The bioluminescence only makes its appearance in few locations in the world, the brightest one is in Vieques, Puerto Rico. The best experience of my life, the glowing algae was just magnificent. It’s one kind experience. Definitely recommended for everyone . We got so much Information on the Island, the Bio Bay itself and other amazing facts. Our tour guide Eddie was informative, kind and took the time explaining everything.we took the boat because I don’t feel safe with kids kayaking because it was so dark so I was very happy when the hotel owner told me about the boat tour. We called them and in the same day we had tickets and a tour booked. Kids or elderly people or special-needs everybody can enjoy it and it really safe the company came to pick up as from the Block hotel and they drove us back, but the road was very bumpy, but the driver was really good and everything takes about an hour and a half from 6:30 till 8 It was amazing they gave us a stick, and when you touch the water you can see the glow. The boat only fits maximum 8 people it seems but multiple tours go out per night. Each ticket costs $95, but I think it was very worth it. The water is very shallow with the deepest part in the center being around 14 ft. There’s no waves, but a little bit of strong winds and it’s extremely dark on the ride over through the forest but it’s still very safe. Thank you so much to this company for giving us a safe and beautiful experience and to Edward for being a great & informative tour guide and even the bus driver. She was wonderful & kind too. Definitely book with...
Read moreThey pick you up and drop you off at El Blok hotel. The van drives for about 15 minutes over very rough roads before you get to where they launch the boat. The boat can have 8 visitors. The tour is one of the best I have taken. The night sky is amazing. I took a bioluminescence kayak tour in Florida before but this is much better. You can use the sticks they give you to stir the water to see the bioluminescence. Fishes moving under the water also causes bioluminescence. A very friendly guy paddleboarding swing by our boat twice. He shook his paddleboard to give us an amazing view of bioluminescence. The bay lights up when it rains, if you can sit through it. The tour guide went over what causes bioluminescence, the history of the bay, different kinds of mangroves, animals in the bay and also showed us some planets and constellations on the night sky. Make sure you know how to take pictures and video at night using your camera or smartphone if you want to capture the memories. The tour guide was really friendly and also had a "magic trick" for the little girl in our group. If you only have to do one bioluminescence tour, I would definitely...
Read moreWorst experience! It’s 3:58 pm and I’m finding out that the tour I booked was cancelled. I was willing to pay for the 2 missing tickets that were needed to be sold to meet the 6 person minimum for a 9:30 pm boat tour. I had been in contact with the representative Sydney since yesterday 8/13 and let them know that if by 1 pm no one booked I would do it. I tried to pay for the tickets and saw that it was not even available to purchase at 3:42 pm on 8/14. I took screenshots of their site to show them how you couldn’t even book the 8:30 pm tour for the day. I was told to purchase my ferry ticket which I did days before going on the tour for one that lined up with their tour time. While at the ferry waiting for the boat I find out they cancelled after I booked my accommodation and transportation. This is a terrible way to conduct business and treat people that want to make a memorable experience with their family. I would NOT recommend anyone to give these business a chance. Thank you for ruining a great...
