I can not say enough amazing things about Dannette. From the minute we met her, we could see her passion for creating beautiful flowers for weddings, and her genuine commitment to make your wedding special and unique to you.
I know nothing about flowers, and Dannette met with us several times to discuss what we liked and how to make that fit in our budget. Our centerpieces, bouquets, large arrangement on the stage during the ceremony, cocktail hour centerpieces, flowers on the cake, corsages and boutineers... everything was absolutely beautiful. Dannette even tracked down the type of jar I wanted to use to designate the family rows during the ceremony. She allowed me to use these jars, as well as all the vases for centerpieces, AT NO CHARGE. I simply had to keep from breaking them, and return them the next week.
On the wedding day, there was an accident (or maybe construction?) that required Dannette to make TWO trips from Grove City to The Bluestone to get us everything. She was hustling about, and not only was everything delivered in plenty of time, but she stuck around to help pin flowers on our grandparents, and add any final touches. She truly cares about her customers, and it's obvious in the way she does business.
The value is unbelievable, and the fact that you get to work with Dannette just makes the entire experience even better. If you need a florist for your wedding - or anything - I highly recommend Dannette's...
Read moreOn the day of my grandfathers showing (2-7-19) my family and I had arrived at the funeral home only to be shocked by what we saw. The centerpiece (the most important flower arrangement in existence as it’s the final farewell gift to a loved one) on the casket was awful. All of the flowers were completely wilted as if they were made days ago and sat out but my parents said they were delivered that day. The white roses and carnations were brown around most of the edges, and the flowers were just randomly placed in the arrangement with no order for them to look their best. And to top it all off the cross looked like it had been made by a preschooler as the ribbon wrapped around it was a mess and coming apart and the cross itself was barely held in place. Every person in my family commented on how awful the arrangement looked when they saw it. I am not one to complain about anything ever but flowers made for the dead and grieving are very expensive and must be done perfectly from the start, there is no room for error. My parents would have never said anything about this (they are the ones who ordered and purchased), but after loosing both of my only grandparents within 2 months of each other this breaks my heart. Nobody in my family will ever use this...
Read moreI'm usually very understanding towards honest mistakes as I work in the small business world too, but this mistake wasn't handled very well by their staff. When I called to confirm my order 2 times in one month, they told me we were all set and repeated my order back to me. I never got a receipt for the deposit or an order sheet emailed to me with any details. So the day before my wedding, we picked up the flowers, and I was given a completely different type of flower (baby's breath which is one of my least favorite as I dislike the smell), and half the order was missing. Thankfully, I'm easy going, so my wedding was perfect anyway. But the staff at Dannette's argued with me on the phone trying to tell me that they were right, and I was wrong. No refund was given. Nothing. Again, I understand when honest mistakes are made, but small business etiquette is to not argue with your customers and to refund them when they don't get what they ordered from you. The roses we did get were healthy and great, so that's the only reason I'm giving 2 stars. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this boutique for any large orders as this was a disorganized process of phone calls, no receipts, no order confirmations, and...
