typically I don’t leave reviews unless the place is top notch or should even be in business. I like pizza and im not the nose in the air snob type, but I do love a good pizza joint and supporting local establishments over chains.
This establishment starts with the employees mumbling to you in a family place with kids and people talking like you’d expect. The wife and I get a Stromboli to split. Most pizza places don’t do Stromboli’s now days and this may be the reason why. This was a half efforts, toppings slapped on with almost no cheese and not cooked properly (undercooked). I took one bite of the Stromboli and lost my appetite. I’m not the person to ask for another or make a scene so I just got a box for the wife because she said she’d eat it at work, paid and left.
I think their is a reason they have their equipment for sale in the front of this establishment and why it looks run down, busted fans, half the lights out, the sub-flooring showing through clearly from the front register. I’m surprised this place is still with no violations (health or building code) open honestly and wouldn’t be surprised if it went out of business in the near future.
Would not recommend this place to anyone unless you’re on a...
Read moreTonight was the Christmas Celebration in Grove City and it was very busy in the downtown area - that being said, I understood when I placed my order why I was told that I would have to wait 40 minutes - I lost track of time and was not sure if 40 minutes went by so I walked in the store and asked the young guy at the counter if my pizza was ready or if I still needed to wait - he went in the kitchen and then came back out and stated, "you are just going to have to wait" - I then politely said, "can you tell me how much longer, I am not sure" - he then stated, "you are just going to have to wait this is rush hour". I had hoped that he would give me a time that the pizza would be done so that I would know if to return to the festivities or if I should just stay inside. He was very rude which was unfortunate considering I have ordered pizza from this place so many times...
Read moreOne of my favorite pizza places. I really don't think I've had anything similar anywhere in Columbus.
The pizza is a thin crust, but not cracker style. It is foldable and soft and chewy. The cheese is the best part in my opinion. It is salty and delicious.
The actual restaurant hasn't changed for decades but that doesn't take away from the quality of pizza for me.
Edit: I forgot to add that while I rated the overall as a 5, I did give the service a 3. The reason is because I ordered for pick up at a specific time. I happened to be free early and I went to the store. The pizza was made and sitting at least 15 minutes before it was supposed to be ready. I was a good customer and placed an order hours early so the store can plan and schedule and my benefit is a pizza that is made early and sits around. Very annoying and I dinged the service due to...
