Jackson Theatre Guild — Attraction in Jackson

Every moment was exciting and impressive! The performances that our Jackson Theater Guild produces are always well worth attending. I'm sorry that I can't recall the names of all the talents but they all deserve honorable mention. We attended last night's opening of "Hairspray" and it was a full house. The singing and dancing was so riveting that the audience was applauding with enthusiasm throughout the performance. I suggest taking your children to theater as often as possible. Don't hold out for children's genres, take them to every performance, broaden their horizons for the arts. From the art in the halls of the Ned to the staging and performances, give children an opportunity to step into another world. Theater is the perfect date night entertainment! Tickets are very affordable! I do wish there was more advertising for the performances. We've missed a few performances because we didn't know about them. While we knew about upcoming theater, we didn't know the dates and never heard anything about them. The Jackson Theater Guild is a wonderful part of our community and we are fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in productions as well as attend them. There is so much talent in Jackson! Sister Act was the best show I have seen in jackson in a while. Sold out audience, crowd was into the show, highly talented cast, and a standing o at the end. Well deserved...
