West Tennessee State Fair — Local services in Jackson

I must say I was very impressed with the fair this year. This was the first time I had been back in 3 years. Reasons being: it was WAY too pricey, it was filthy dirty, and crowded with screaming,obnoxious people. Last night it was $5 for admission and $15 for an armband. Btw- the armband is only good til 9:00 p.m. so ride first, then eat, and play games last. We arrived around 7 pm. There were way less people and way more police officers than I remember being there before. It was so much fun. Just the right amount of rides, plenty of games (to throw your hard earned money away on to win something that literally costs 50 cents), tons of food choices, live shows of all kinds, and a petting zoo with Lemurs and Kangaroos. The staff of the midway were cool and attentive. I definitely recommend checking it out this year. Kudos to #JacksonPoliceDept for showing up in full force and making the fair a family safe...
