I was invited to play on a new series of writers nights they are doing on Wednesdays starting at 7:30. The crowd was extremely welcoming and receptive. It was a relaxed and intimate atmosphere this night (perfect for writing musicians with new material to test) for a place that is probably more than overwhelmed on a friday or Saturday night. Josh the MC (formerly of the Grove) was very helpful and attentive to my needs on stage and with the sound, and made me feel like I belonged there. I'm.proud they have started this- usually only something you can find in Nashville- but with an area full of great talent like the Late Carl Perkins- you never know. Just might find something special- like Brandon Clifton (I opened up for)- a great Original Americana Artist that kept me swinging my boots and tapping on the table the entire set- left me wanting more! I will be a patron no doubt for the writers nights. Oh yeah- try the Veagan burgers- closest taste to the real thing I have ever indulged (and they take pride in it). Awesome live music, all kinds of imports, and a taste for the new wave healthy conscious minded people? It's won the spotlight on this town in my opinion 4...

Finally get a menu and the food was SUPER expensive for such a small amount, the bartenders walked off the bar and disappeared for 10 minutes, the band was not good and they started talking about sex in the bathroom and other out of the norm things. Normally those things do not bother me but between the loud sounds and the irritatingly loud music and the owner drinking in the corner and the staff disappearing the experience was ruined. We were there a total of 15 minutes and are never returning. Absolute ignorance and not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'd be hard pressed to find a better embodiment of the down-to-earth, authentic, diverse, and genuinely welcoming atmosphere that truly represents what community should mean. You couldn't find trouble even if you were looking for it, and you'll never come across a bigger hub for local culture than what you'll find when you walk in the front doors. Whether you're looking for the highest quality live music or a quiet place to unwind, you won't find anywhere else as independently unique as this one. If you're eager to find a finger on the pulse of culture in Jackson outside of the commercial inundation, this is the place to go. When you hear someone say "support local business" this should be the place that comes to mind...
