Computer Depot — Attraction in Jacksonville

(Yesterday) My wife dropped her year-old, top-of-the-line Asus G16 laptop and bent and damaged the screen. She is paralyzed in business without that device and so she was in a panic. We bought it from Best Buy so she took it there. They were going to ship it to some location in Georgia, charge her several hundred dollare to evaluate it and then let us know in about 2 weeks if it could even be repaired. When she finally called me to tell me about the disaster I sent her to Computer Depot. She will have the laptop fully repaired in 3-4 days - when they get needed parts she will take it in and they will replace the screen (as good or better than original parts) while she waits AND she can use it in the mean time. This is for less than half what she had been quoted to "evaluate it" and "hopefully" repair it at Best Buy - and that is if they would even repair it of which there was no guarantee. Computer Depot saves the day again!

(November repairs) I grew up in Silicon Valley a very long time ago... Mr. Packard used to stop by my parents businesses and we worked with IBM when they really were out in an orchard - we worked with all the real pioneers in The Valley. I know what qualified computer techs are when I run into them and appreciate great service: Computer Depot is all that and more - far and away the best we have found in the JAX area. They tore apart a couple of old laptops I bought back when I had hair - repotted the CPU and GPU, replaced bad memory/added some, fixed some software incompatibility. In the process they opened the things up and gave them a thorough cleaning. They were so filthy inside working on them could qualify as a biological experiment and require HazMet suits with built in antibiotic drips. They gave me a few pictures of what they did and I thought I might get them back in a bucket. It was just scary to see them torn apart but all of it was returned to me in pristine shape, working absolutely flawlessly. I will be bringing 8 systems and tablets - some new some old - from our office to Computer Depot to create a secure network and optomize operation of the hardware - we have complete trust in these guys and I think you will be delighted with anything they do for you... AND, they charge a fraction of what anybody...

Incredibly honest and fair with pricing.

I have a 2020 MacBook that needed a new battery. I bought a battery off Amazon and attempted to replace it myself, for $55. I did a pretty good job, except the trackpad and keyboard wouldn’t work. Lol. I thought it was a pretty easy fix, because I struggled getting the trackpad cable connected properly.

I brought it to the ubreakifix franchise. They charged me $60 diagnostic to look at it, which I agreed to… and they had to send it to their repair center. They called me the next day and told me the whole trackpad and a bunch of other critical components all needed to be replaced. They said they all burned out…and it would cost me $650! I declined. I was also suspicious because like I said earlier…I thought I was careful and didn’t understand how I could’ve ‘burned up’ my computer.

A neighbor recommended The Computer Depot.

I brought it to them (and did not tell them about the diagnostic I just received).

They initially said it sounded like a pretty simple fix, and would be $125 if they could fix it. I gladly left it with them, and hoped for the best.

The technician called me the next day and said he got everything working. It was just the trackpad connector. AND… it didn’t take him that long… so it would only be $75!!

I absolutely love people like this. Hallelujah and thank you Computer Depot.
