While the stone work is beautiful, and the names heartbreaking, my visit to this site was devastating, but not only for the reason you might be thinking. The site was in horrible condition, almost as if it haven’t be seen to in years. The water there was green and muddy with trash in the memorial pond, the stone needed to be pressure washed, and there was trash all over the place. It is honestly so disrespectful to those who laid their lives done to be honored like that. The least someone could do is make sure the memorial is in good condition year round. If you are going to have a memorial, you must keep it as nice as it was when you first had it made.
