Nice historic lighthouse. It doesn't have accessibility to the public (reason why I gave 4 STARS instead of 5). It'll take you less than 5min to see, take a pic move on. If you want to take a picture w/out the ugly fence on the way, you'll have to get creative and get the lens of your camera through an opening on the fence. It's just sad that for us Lighthouse fans, there's NO WAY to actually visit all the still existing Lighthouses in Florida. There should be an album where you can get stamped every lighthouse visited. This type of tourism should be more promoted than stuff like Disney. If you want to get there, you can input in your GPS the corner of Palmer St. 1300 & Broad St. 1300 (Atlantic Beach, FL 32233).

I LOVE her! She is so beautiful and absolutely worth the stop if you are a lighthouse fan. Unfortunately, she's on the Naval base so you can't visit her, but there's a lovely pull aside in Mayport where you can get out of your car and take photos. She took my breath away!

Not open to the public since it is on a very active naval base, ranked 3rd. You can join the Florida Lighthouse Association, like I did and register for the visitation, meeting and tour the base, in a bus. Great time!

If you like lighthouses, this one is nice to drive up, take a photo, and carry on. You can get close, but the lighthouse is on Naval property and not completely accessible to walk around. You are fenced out. Simply get creative with your camera and move on to the...
