We had such a WONDERFUL time catching fish and celebrating our boys' birthdays with the Northeast Florida Fishing Charters. Captain Rich is very experienced and knows everything about the fish and the locations! He's also excellent with small children, and our boys had a blast spending time with Captain Rich. The boat, Chicken Bone, is super clean and efficient! It has the technology to find school of fish! We took a half-day inshore fishing charter, and caught various fish; red fish, spotted trout, mangrove snapper, flounder, ladyfish, etc. Some were very large. Everyone in the family caught what they wished to catch and we were all so happy. We are already talking about returning next year!! Visiting Jacksonville for the first time, Richard Bloom came recommended to me by local sources. After fishing with Captain Bloom for only an afternoon yesterday, April 30, I would also recommend him to any serious fisherman for some time on water around Jacksonville. He loves what he does and that makes it enjoyable to fish with him. He is an expert fisherman on these waters. He is enthusiastic and good company. He is a hard worker. Chartered a 6 hour trip with Capt. Richard from Northeast Florida Fishing Charter’s today. I took my two sons, 19 and 15, the older one likes to fish, the younger one not so much. Richard put us on fish and we went spot to spot to keep the bite going. Caught reds, jacks, flounder, Spanish mackerels, ladyfish, and bluefish. My older son caught a 28” red, his biggest fish to date. During the ride home and as we ate some of our fish for dinner (which Richard filleted for us) they both talked about what an awesome day it was and how easy going and accommodating Richard was.
