Words can't describe how great this experience with Captain Chris was. Not only did he make sure that the day was a blast from start to finish, but he knows EVERYTHING about these waters. The knowledge he has is generational and he's spent his entire life fishing the Jacksonville waters.

To put it this way, we were so successful that we packed our massive cooler to the brim, set tons aside to give to family and friends, gave Chris almost half of the catch because we couldn't imagine taking any more home, were giving bags of fish filets out to strangers at the marina, and still can't fit half of what we brought home in our freezer.

My husband and I have been fishing a million times but this was our first deep sea experience. This man knows how to find and catch fish like no other. He taught us so much and was so fun to spend that 8 hours with. We went to multiple different spots, including a couple old shipwrecks that were VERY active.

Had we been inshore with Chris, we would probably have caught even more, which is a scary thought! I'm sure that charter would have been insane as well. We will most certainly be booking with him again this summer.

Lastly, Chris has all positive reviews, minus maybe two outliers. Just as a reminder when you do book with him: you're GOING to have an amazing time out there. But if you happen to go out on a day where the weather isn't the best, the water is a little choppy, or the fish just aren't biting that day, just remember that's the way it goes sometimes. It has nothing to do with his ability. If you can't go out and catch a ton of fish with Chris, then no one could have helped you that day.

This was the worst charter I have ever been on...it was 6 of us in all ; 2 of the people came out for the 1st time...yea the water was rough and it was windy but the captain just went blank. We couldn't find bait and he had none on board already. He had no plan besides using us, the customers, to find birds and fish busting up on the surface. We floated around and around trying to find a good spot...we finally followed a shrimp boat and caught a few sharks including one that was 100+lbs. Well the hell with sharks... we didn't pay all that money to catch sharks, I can catch a shark from land. Last round was the jetties where we caught a few slot reds but if that was the case we should have visited the jetties earlier instead of wasting hours messing around. I'll never book this guy again and if I am with a group that booked him unknowingly, I will simply pass on boarding. Oh, did I mention we are all African-American I could tell he was uncomfortable from...

The weather and the fish didn’t cooperate. The low rating is based on the condition of the boat. The starboard motor broke down right off the start. Captain Chris worked on it, but no luck. We crippled around awhile trying to catch some fish. At a later time in the morning, while docked at the marina, I talked Chris into trying the motor again. Success! Now we have two motors. We didn’t move often because of no trolling motor. The Anchor gave Chris a workout. The boat is basically very old. Gauges not working and things rusted up. I went back and was reviewing photos of the boat on the website, and noticed that photos show (3) different types of motors. Some photos appear to be a different boat at the rear of the boat.
