Sweet William & Thyme — Attraction in Jamesburg

to say i’m disappointed with this place would be an understatement. i went in a few days ago to order flowers for my aunts funeral. i ordered a spring bouquet in a vase with a sash that said beloved aunt. when all was said & done it came to about $100. when i got to the funeral home yesterday, i’m looking around everywhere for a bouquet that says beloved aunt, nowhere to be found .. so i looked at the little cards they put in the flowers & finally found mine with a pathetic little card on it that said “love, Amanda”. this bouquet was supposed to be “spring flowers” .. well that is absolutely not what this was. it was basically just a ton of greenery with about 5 actual flowers in it in 2 shades of pink. so not only was it missing the beloved aunt sash, but it was probably one of the most pathetic bouquet of flowers i have ever seen in my life ...

because i was so dissatisfied with these flowers, i decided to go into the shop afterwards (with the flowers) to tell them how unhappy i was & that they messed up because let’s face it, $100 is not cheap & especially not for 5 flowers. so i go in the shop, tell the girl the situation & she gets me the manager. the manager comes over, i tell her the situation, she looks up my account & says “oh yes it was supposed to say beloved aunt & be spring colors, i’m so sorry about that”. then proceeds to tell the girl to get me 4-5 roses to put into the bouquet to make it fuller. this is the conclusion she came to? after my order being completely wrong for $100? just add 4 more roses, say you’re sorry, & call it a day?

this is absolutely unacceptable especially during a time when people are heartbroken & grieving. you expect your flower arrangement to be correct. it’s the least they can do considering it’s their job. safe to say they won’t be receiving business from...

Michelle at Sweet William and Thyme has been there for us for so many years. During Covid it was my mom's birthday and we could not be with her for it and I called Michelle and she was so kind and sweet and sent my mom and extra special package and flowers so my mom could be cheered up and enjoy her birthday from us. Today again I called her and its my dads 90th and due to circumstances we could not be there in person for his special birthday. We are zooming tonight for his 90th birthday and I called Michelle and explained we wanted him to know we are thinking of him on his special birthday. We wanted to have something nice when we zoom all together as a family tonight to mark the occasion. She said she would send him a very special balloon bouquet to surprise him and make his day more special. Michelle and staff have always been there for us on good and bad occasions they have always done a kind and beautiful job for us. Especially at the last minute or asking for something to be delivered that day. They are always so caring and they always deliver on time. They have even replaced things if it was needed. I would recommend Sweet William & Thyme for anyone looking for the best florist around who go above and beyond for you if you call them. They also make the most beautiful displays. I live in San Diego and recently ordered flowers for my mothers birthday. She lives in NJ. I ordered via FTD. I called my mother to wish her a happy birthday only to discover no flowers were delivered. She recommended that next time I call Sweet William & Thyme, her local florist. When I hung up with my mom, I immediately called Sweet William & Thyme and spoke with Barbara. She was super sympathetic and was able to get a fantastic arrangement out to my Mom on the same day and at a lower price than FTD. Barbara sent a personalized e-mail to let me know the flowers were delivered. My mom was thrilled with the flowers and raved about the arrangement and how fresh the flowers were. She’s still enjoying them today nearly a week later! Thanks to Barbara for the top notch personalized customer service and the quality of the flower arrangement.
