Albany Park Shopping Center — Attraction in Jefferson Township

The shopping center here is so-so. The Sahar Supermarket is pretty good; the folks who run it are very friendly to their regulars and the items the stock are pretty high quality. Many traditional items from Turkey, Iran, and such. The Korean joint is confusing; it's not the first restaurant I've ordered from that has, like, three names? I really couldn't tell you exactly what to call them. I haven't eaten at the Middle Eastern restaurant yet but there is always a diverse crowd dining in which I would infer is due to the excellent quality of their food. Persian cuisine is really trendy, especially in this neighborhood. The Chase Bank here is one of the worst I've been to. They recently changed their hours and operations and they are severely understaffed. I've gone in and waited in line for an eternity only to walk out and go to another branch to get assistance. There was a time I recall coming in with quarters I had acquired for laundry. I was attempting to exchange them for single dollar bills (I realized that my roommate did my laundry for me so I decided to use them as cash to gift to him). The teller (some young kid) told me he couldn't help me because they don't exchange opened rolls of coins for bills and that I needed to find a vending machine for that. What the hell kind of bank doesn't give you cash...

This is a strip mall. There is no way to actually go inside Albany Park shopping center. It has the usual type stores you would find in a strip mall. I do like the Middle Eastern store. I find that the items there are well priced and the food is very fresh. It also has a very nice Dunkin' Donuts. I have not tried the new Turkish restaurant yet but I will get around to it soon. This area is pretty cool to look around in some of the stores for their international treats. The parking lot does get full quickly, so be careful about that. The area is usually kept clean and they do have trash cans for your outside use to maintain the parking lot.
