nubar Cafe — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

To start, the coffee was good and the food was fine. I also didn’t get what I wanted and am a bit sour by the experience. It was $45 for two coffees and 2 sandwiches.

Their signature sandwich claimed to have meat on it and I received a vegetarian sandwich instead. I asked the waiter if I ordered the signature sandwich and they said “I think so, you can ask the manager.” I went up to the manager and they confirmed it was right. I double checked the website (picture attached) and showed the manager and she showed me the physical menu that showed a cottage cheese and jam sandwich, which is nowhere near what I wanted.

She went on to blame the website format, and that the food shouldn’t have been showing. She did ask me if I wanted a refund, but after bringing it up twice and realizing the mistake, I felt that a manager should have tried to help more than asking ME if I wanted a refund. It’s also an excellent spot for working or simply slowing down. The music is calm, the tables are well-spaced, Wi-Fi is fast, outlets are accessible, and the bathrooms are spotless. nubar Cafe is such a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. My family and I wandered in today for the first time and I second everyone's sentiments on how tasty their food/drink is and especially want to call out their customer service for being wonderful.
