We feel incredibly lucky to have such an excellent, well-curated, powerful museum and cultural space in our area. We (two non-Cambodians) scheduled a private tour with Kaoru who was respectful, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. She guided us through the stories of those who lived during the genocide, teaching us history and helping us make connections on our own. The new elephant ceramics exhibit done by a local intern, elder ceramicist who practiced originally in Cambodia, and community members was fantastic. The power and intention behind the Killing Field memorial was tangible. The community influence and focus of the space is clear, and we look forward to supporting this group however we can in the future.
