So this Persian Arab middle eastern restaurant was unique in serving but delicious. It was my first time here and was my niece's and her announcement of her marriage to her fiance now newlywed husband. Anyways focusing on the food it was fresh and delicious. Hummus and baba ganoush with the pita was delicious and not dry or salty. We originally were going to eat and order individually but it's best to order the family deal of koubideh if you are having a big party of 4 or more. It comes also with a Persian salad of diced cucumber, diced tomato and lime and it had a a dressing that was uniquely delicious. Bahamas and the baba ganoush was very traditionally creamy and delicious we finally got the family koubiden with salmon, beef filet mignon and lamb. All three meats were cooked right especially the lamb and the beef filet mignon very soft and tender and not overcooked or dry. It was underneath a bed of basmati rice one side with spices and basmati rice with one side with cranberries to give it a sweet tart.. I went with the Persian yogurt mint drink and don't expect it the drink or beverage to be a sweet drink it tasted like a healthier cucumber V8 which I didn't mind since in this day and age with beverages everything is usually sweet as usual with sugar aftertaste so I decided to try something different Persian cucumber mint beverage was uniquely delicious if you are trying to avoid sweet drinks and your diabetic. It's a good alternative if not unique choice. I would possibly come back here again as the food was very good cooking. Reason for stars out of five stars is the uniqueness or confusion how it is not a full service restaurant you actually have to have your table number and then come up to the kitchen and order your food and then they deliver it to you versus a waiter coming up to you or a waitress coming up to you asking for orders on the menu. Under complementary they gave us a Persian churro and actually this was the wow. Unlike the Spanish churro it was not too sweet and the texture of the so just right compare to a...
Read moreMy son had eaten at this restaurant previously and he wanted me to try it. Due to the interesting variations coming out of the Persian heritage he thought I might enjoy these new experiences.
With that in mind, we try the vegetarian shami which is a falafel variation. The sauce is it's topped with makes it a completely different dish and is worth trying. It's a little rich for my taste but I think most people would enjoy it. I prefer the pomegranate molasses that was used to enhance the walnut sauce.
We had a fortunate communication mistake my son ordered zaytoon parvadeh. Thinking that was a dish I requested. It turned out to be a fortunate and delightful mistake. The hummus and falafel we ordered for my granddaughter were perfect and closer to what you would expect as a common Middle Eastern food.
Don't get me started on the size of the entree and you can tell from the photos that I post that the food was so delicious! We couldn't even wait for the photos before we started digging in.
I don't normally eat desserts at restaurants, but the Persian ice creams that we tried were just astonishingly interesting and tasteful combinations. In particular, I enjoyed the pistachio and saffron ice cream, which had for me the perfect balance of flavor and sweetness. Keep in mind that I don't care for things that are sweet so I'm glad we ventured to try those dishes.
One hint there isn't any wait staff so you place your own order as soon as you're ready by going up to the counter.
All in all, I wouldn't miss the opportunity to try this high quality and delightfully restaurant that provides an interesting variants of common Middle...
Read moreI wanted Kabobi to cater my 75th birthday party and I am so happy that I chose them. Ordering was easy with Joe, who has years of experience. He knew exactly what and how much to order for 16 guests. He only needed 2 days notice and only required payment at the time of delivery. I had never ordered catering before and I was very nervous, but Joe was so reassuring and calm that I put everything in his hands and relaxed. The food arrived early in a large case that looked like a safe. It kept the food hot until serving. Cold food came in different containers, one of which leaked a little bit. The best part of delivery was that the delivery man was a charming older gentleman who insisted on singing "Happy Birthday" to me. He gathered all the guests around and sang it out in a booming beautiful voice. The guests and I were surprised and amazed. He put everyone in a great mood, and set the tone for the rest of my wonderful party. What an unexpected treat! The food was excellent and abundant. We had filet mignon, chicken breast and salmon kabobs with jasmine, dill, and adas pollo rice. Everything was juicy, tender and delicious. Cold appetizers were excellent hummus, baba ganoush, and Persian salad. Of course, there was a lot of pita bread. Everyone loved the food and got to take home some leftovers. I highly recommend that you consider Kabobi for your next catered event. You will be giving your guests food that is out of the ordinary, that is absolutely delicious, and is brought to your event by kind and...
