Whealan Family Aquatic Center — Attraction in Jefferson Township

I took my daughter to this pool 3 months ago because it was cheap and nearby. I was hoping to get a great experience, but this pool turned out to be horrendous at its finest. First of all, my daughter was playing in the pool and we came across feces and vomit in this pool, and nobody bothers to remove the feces/vomit or clean the pool. How disgusting can a pool get? Secondly, I experienced some unfair treatment in regards to placement of my belongings in a locker. I asked one of the lifeguards to place my bag in a locker, so my bag would not get stolen. I proceed to the food area to get my daughter something to eat, then go back to the lifeguard area, and see my bag out in the open. I asked why was my bag not in a locker and I was told to "get my own locker". That very same day, a woman asked to place her bag in a locker and the lifeguard did so without hesitation. Thirdly, the food is absolutely abominable. The sandwich bread are hard and disgusting and the meat choices are just awful. Typically I enjoy chicken sandwiches but it was tasteless. Even my 3 year old didn't want to eat it. Fourthly, I noticed that some lifeguards were either staring at me or giving me a dirty look while I was enjoying some time with my daughter. I would like to enjoy time without having a lifeguard making me or my daughter feel uncomfortable; or having to experience mistreatment. I will definitely NOT recommend this pool location to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy a good time with their kids. If I could give this location zero...

Honest review from a season pass holder 2 years in a row. The pool itself it always clean (from what we can see ). Life guards are there and it's fine.

The locker rooms could be cleaner by the shower area. . They sell food but only hotdogs and hamburgers. they are inconsistent when it comes to bringing your own food. Everyone does it because what they have is gross. Just let us bring out own things or have a better menu... .

Flores is the manager and he is great. Always smiling and talking to people and he's really friendly.

Yup to management: the "special" seats you guys have for $50 a day is a waste of space. I sat there a day to review it and the ones by the slide are in bad location for parents. Can't really see the whole pool. Also the chairs are broken. The ones for $150 a day. Forget about it. I'm told it comes with your personal person to get you stuff. You guys have 2 things on your menu...what could you possibly get me? They are expensive and no one ever sits there. Instead of that. Take the money and buy more chairs for everyone else. OR. give priority seating in those places for season pass holders at a first come first serve basis. That makes more...

Very disappointed.

I love this pool and have been coming here for 10+ years. About 5 years ago my sister and I came here and saw a little boy drown. Super traumatizing situation. They were doing compressions on this boy until the ambulance came and I hated seeing that. His body was absolutely lifeless.

Today at the pool my sister, cousin, and I were in the pool on a Sunday enjoying ourselves when suddenly the lifeguards blew the whistle and I looked over and saw a lifeless adult body floating in the pool. Immediately I felt everything that I felt day again. My sister and I were so scared.

The lifeguards hopped in the water. Pulled the body out. And the man Immediately got up and walked away.

We were then told it was "just a drill".

??????? SO CONFUSED WHY THAT COULD NOT BE DONE WHILE YOU ALL WERE CLOSED????

Not only were we scared, but mind you there was children here as well. We all paid to be here and have no business to be apart of your staffs training as paying customers.
