I stopped by last year didn't buy anything but I gave them 5 stars , I bought upright freezer last week I did tell them that I have old freezer getting warmer so I told them once they drop off the new freezer need to come back in few hours to pickup the old one once I transfer the food from the old freezer and they were ok with it told me that the driver would call me 7-8 am to setup a time to come , I had a voicemail about 9:30 am saying that they would be there between 930 and 11 I called them 9:35 so they came to drop it off was out of the box because it's too big , buy a bigger truck , don't take it out of the box it's gonna get damaged and I wouldn't know if it was in a box pulled it out of the truck was drizzling instead of covering it he opened the freezer door in the rain taking the stickers and tapes out of it taking his time so I told him u can do this inside the garage, they dropped it off didn't even wipe the rain off I said can u come back in few hours after I transfer the food from the old freezer he said call the office once ur ready and walked out I said thank u have a good day he didn't even reply. I called office they said they were suppose to pick it up when they dropped off the new one opposite of what I was told and now there's another service call to pickup i said no thanks. There's big disconnect between office employees and delivery people. Never bring me a brand new appliance out of the box unless I'm told prior. Never put a brand new freezer with electric parts in the rain . This is very bad experience and will never go back there because they lied to me and there drivers were unprofessional and letting a brand new appliance sit in the rain . I accepted the delivery because I didn't want my food to go bad from the old freezer. Home depot Lowe's have those and have better customer service. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE 👎 WILL NEVER...
Read moreWent back to Chenoweth when our washing machine quit working since we had bought several other appliances from them. We had them install the washer when they delivered it. Washer was installed on 12/17 and then on 12/19 after washing a few loads, I noticed water in the floor and then saw the cold water hose leaking at the washer. I was able to tighten it by hand to get the leak to stop. My wife contacted Chenoweth to tell them about the issue and all that Wayne could say was to get an estimate of what it would cost to fix and let him know. We contacted ServPro and they sent someone out with a moisture meter and found moisture in the floor, in the wall and it the carpet in the adjacent room. They also found several damaged ceiling tiles in the basement below the laundry room. When we contacted them back with the estimate we were informed that they would contact their insurance company on Monday 12/30. on that Monday we were informed that their insurance would not pay because the delivery had been signed off on and according to them they were no longer liable for a faulity installation and that we would have to file a claim with our own insurance company. If you decide to buy a washing machine from Chenoweth and have them install it, I would recommend that you save yourself a headache and have the installers wait while you run a wash cycle or two to confirm that there are no issues before you sign off on the delivery. As for us, we will be looking for another place to shop for our future...
Read morePSA regarding Chenoweth Appliances and installation. We bought new appliances from Chenoweth Appliances in July 2024. When the “installation experts” were connecting my refrigerator water line to the wall fitting, they failed to use Teflon tape (highly encouraged but not mandatory). They also managed to cross-thread the fitting. This led to a slow leak over the past 7 months that ruined my drywall, baseboard, hardwood flooring and leaked into the basement. I urge anyone that has trusted Chenoweth Appliances to install any appliance that utilizes water to inspect the work to make sure this hasn’t happened to you. Luckily I am very handy and was able to make all of the repairs myself; if I would have paid a company to fix them, it would have been $3,000 minimum. When I brought this to the attention of Dan at Chenoweth Appliances, he offered no support or apology. He did however inform me that they now have a policy that requires the homeowner to sign off anytime a water line is connected stating that the installation is correct. It would almost seem that they had multiple issues with water leaks. It truly is a shame that we went out of our way to purchase from a local business, only to have this unfortunate experience. I sincerely hope this post will prevent this from happening to...
