Doctor Gate – Same Day Gate Repair — Attraction in Jersey City

I was having hard time opening my roll up door for few months now. And I spent so much money on fixing it, but nothing helped. I had 2 different companies, both promised me to fix the gate, and both couldn’t repair it in a way that will make the gate work for a long time. Last month I called Doctor Gate and asked for a free estimate. I was surprise to hear that they charge 30$ for estimate, but after hearing from the owner of the store nest to me that they fixed their gate once, I agreed to pay for the visit. Mike came to my place, checked few things and told me something that I liked and didn’t like to hear. He said that the repair will cost me 900$, since this is the only way to really make sure that the problem will be solved. And he also said that he will give me 1 year warranty. I asked if the repair will make the gate work, and he said that everything will work. He was really friendly, and told me that he doesn’t need the 30$, and they only say it to avoid people who try to get 20 estimated and they are a waste of time. I paid 300$ deposit, and he said that tomorrow he will return with the spring, new chain and few other parts. He and the helper arrived at 8:00, and started the repair. By 11 the gate was working again, and the first time he showed me, I noticed the improvement. It has been a month, the gate is still working great.

When I needed them the most they were there for me. And my story is one worth reading. I asked for quotes from 2 other companies for rollup door spring repair. Doctor Gate was in the middle. And when I asked Levi (The manager and a real gentleman) why they are the most expensive, he said that he work for a company that will always pick up the phone. That wasn’t good enough for me, so I hired the cheapest company who gave me estimate $120 cheaper. And here the story turn. At the day of the installation, after I paid, I couldn’t get the shutter to close. Would you believe it? And 100 calls to their number did not help. I was stuck. I called Levi, and he told me he is on his way. Now forget that he came in 30 minutes. Forget he was kind enough to comfort me that thing like that happen (Although I didn’t hire Doctor Gate). Extremely professional and very quick respond. I wanted to get our store from door in Brooklyn to close, when suddenly the motor stopped running. I called few companies, and Doctor Gate told me that they can someone in 20 minutes. So they asked me to stop calling other companies. Since I was worried, I told them that I will wait for 20 minutes, and if no one will show I will call more companies. The guy on the line said: Ok, so we are not coming. I was surprised and asked why, and he said: we will fix it today, but we will not come if you call other companies. I asked: are you sure you will be able to fix it? And he said, if we do not fix, we will put for you a new gate. I said OK, come over.

Exactly 20 minutes passed, and I see a golden van entering our parking lot. Two guys came out, very friendly and smiling. I couldn’t believe, but it took them 3 minutes to close the gate. They even taught me how to do it using the chain when the motor is not working.
