I had gone there a few years ago and had a great experience. Unfortunately this time was the opposite. I am out $450 for what was suppose to be a $120 repair. I brought my iPhone 13 Pro in to have the black glass replaced. Zo showed me a small chip in the front glass and said there was a high likely hood when they were removing the back glass it would break the front glass. He also said the phone would have to be there for 12+ hrs to allow for the glue to dry on both pieces of glass. I picked it up the next day and was charged, $298 for both the front & back glass. I paid. Less than a week later the back glass was cracked again. I never dropped it and had it in a protective case the whole time. I took it back in he said he would “just this one time repair the back glass for free” but claimed there was a high risk with the front glass breaking again. He called after 3 hrs to say the phone was ready. When I picked it up he claimed the front glass had to be replaced again and charged me an additional $161! I found it odd how for the 1st repair it was going to take 12 hrs+ for the glue to dry yet this time with “replacing” the front & back glass the phone was ready in less than 3hrs. But since I want the phone back I had no choice but to pay. Since getting the phone back the display has gone black several times throughout out the day. And I’ve had to re boot it to get the display to come back. I also did a google search about replacing the back glass causing issues with the front glass. I found on numerous websites: “No, repairing the back glass on an iPhone should not damage the front screen under normal circumstances, as the two components are separate and are not directly connected; however, if the repair is not done properly by a qualified technician, there is a small risk of damage to other components which could potentially affect the front screen functionality.”
I feel completely scammed, my phone is not working properly and I will not...
Read moreMy 5-6 HP Laptop decided to die on me last week. So instead of forking over several hundred dollars for a new computer I looked to see about possibly getting it repaired. I stumbled upon this place. After reading wonderful reviews I decided to book an appointment for a diagnostic look.
The front desk person Zo was very professional and friendly. He shook my hand. I explained to him what the problem was for my laptop. He informed me they would have to do a full diagnostic test to find out what was wrong. It would be $70 and the $70 would be credited to the final bill. If they computer was not repairable they would help me get into another laptop. He informed me that they would be able to recover any data that I may need if the computer was not repairable. He said he would call between 6-8pm the next day with an update. He called around 6:30pm the next evening as promised and explained that they computer had over heated and there was bad update as well. They would have it repaired between 24-48 hours. He also quoted a $130 final bill with the $70 credit I still owed $60.
The following day we had snow and ice. What impressed me very much was that one of the owners Warren, who lived across the street from the shop WALKED to the shop in the freezing cold just to call customers and let them know they were closed and no repairs would be done.
My laptop was repaired and ready for pick up the following day. I went to pick it up today. As promised I still only owed $60. Warren took me back and showed me that my laptop was up and running again. The Internet and everything still worked. He also let me know that if I used a caned air duster I wold help prevent my computer from over heating again.
I am very pleased with their service and will not hesitate to use them again if the need...
Read moreBrought my laptop in for some water damage. Technicians were kind and professional; diagnosis and repair was faster than I expected. Store was clean and organized. They treated me and my equipment with respect, and clearly communicated during the repair process.
The initial diagnostics fee is $70 - but that's rolled into any repairs that you get with them. That's standard procedure for most of the electronic repair shops I called; for what it's worth.
They stick strictly to policy with regards to repair parts, which is both good and bad.
Bad: they only order fresh OEM parts - and they can't/won't offer you any help with buying parts on your own. Yeah, it's a liability / quality issue, I get it - and, in wealthy suburbia, price is rarely a concern, but...the total balloons a lot in scenarios where aftermarket or used parts would be acceptable.
Good: they will happily install any parts you do buy yourself. After speaking with Dell support and getting the right model numbers, I got off paying $65 for a motherboard and $25 for a keyboard. That would have cost me over $400 from Dell, BEFORE install fees, for a computer worth $375 on a good day.
Due to the holiday season, it took me over a month to buy and bring in my parts. They did not charge me any storage fees, which is nice!
A keyboard replacement is $50 on its own. I foolishly forgot to bring it in with my motherboard, and they had to disassemble the laptop all over again. At least everyone on here will know what the standalone cost is.
$140 was the grand total for the motherboard replacement, plus cleaning and testing of internal components. The cleaning was very thorough, it was almost like the day I bought it.
Overall...
